My therapist used the word "obsession", but I think I prefer your mindset better!

Me and the old lady already paid off a neurologists' student loans. I stay away from therapists, no need for us to finance two medical professionals' education.

I was discussing my anal retentive tendencies with a family friend. She said "Doug, you're not anal rententive. You're just very particular about some things."

I looked at my wife and told her that when she leaves me I'm marrying Holly.

Dang those bumper lights look good. I almost went the route with svc light bar and 4 hella lights but I got a sweet deal on a used 20” rigid bar that is going in the same location.

We lucked out with the Ranger having a steel bumper. The section between those vents is hollow, those lights are mounted as solid as any after market bar.

More parts for my slow go front end repair.

BTW, that's the "paint to finish" lower fascia. Black plastic just like the upper piece. I was planning on painting it satin black along with the skidplate. But I may just paint the skidplate after seeing it.

Big up to Levittown Parts!

Let us know the difference from stock halogen?
Huge difference against the garage wall and it's looking like they won't need adjustment. Real road test will be this evening or tomorrow's ride to work.

I decided I needed a hi-lift jack. Of course, I also had to have a handle keeper, and a mounting bracket to attach it to my Pioneer Platform. While searching for an appropriate mounting bracket, I kept getting results for shovel mounting kits, so I bought one, which led to the need for a recovery shovel because those two loops would just look silly without one. Anyway, all this showed up today…

Thanks to Dan ( @Danager ) for posting about the $35 CAD medieval implement he discovered at Princess Auto.

I’ve got my shovel and axe tucked inside the bed right now. Thinking of maybe adding them to the Prinsu, or the BillieBars bed rack later this spring. Searching for a good way to secure things has lead me to a fair amount of junk. And as much as I don’t want stuff to either get stolen or fall off the truck, I really don’t want the locks to be as much as the truck payment. I found the ones below. Could probably use one per implement, paired with one regular one. What are your plans to keep these where they belong yet accessible for your use?

Hey Dan,

Safety first? Maybe security first, with safety close behind.

My truck is garaged and never outside overnight, so that helps keep things secure - my tactical rifle cases have built-in locks and are secured to the Rhino Rack from their interior. My traction boards are tethered to the roof rack with short stainless braided tethers and small keyed locks. They’ve been safe up there and I’ve decided the other items will be too as long as I tether and lock them - this also helps in case a mount fails for some strange reason. Both sets of mounts, tethers and like-keyed locks cost less than one of those Rhino Rack mounts. They’ll work fine and I like your idea of one for each tool to spread out the cost.

hitchweb.com is the third-party that Amazon sells it’s Rhino Rack stuff through - they have more options than the ones you showed - my experience with their customer service has been very good. Anything that mounts to a t-slot can be easily configured - the Jack mounts I bought are for a YJ hood.

For me, it’s about keeping the honest folks honest and if the bad guys want something badly enough, they’ll find a way. I’m comfortable with the security I’ve put in place but your mileage might vary.

I’ll DM you and share more details and pics after the install. Might be a couple of weeks - it’s cold out there and I’m in no hurry. ?
