I very much prefer the European mirrors. There was a company in the U.S. that made them but I am unable to find them now. Out of business perhaps.
They are flat about 80% of the way from the inside to the outside with the last 20% curved so there are no blind spots. Some have a fine line from top to bottom that separate the two segments. The first time you look t them you go whoa, what the... But from then on it's a very natural adjustment.
With the small stick-on mirrors or those such as those on my RS I have to focus once, then focus again IOT fully use the small mirrors.
There may be a legal reason why they are not available in the U.S. but given a choice they are worth every penny.
