When you get into the "higher end" cosmetic packages of any car they're going to attract a certain kind of buyer.

Ford tried this with leftover parts when the US FiST was going out pf production. They slapped all the cosmetic bits of the FiST onto stard Fiestas and called the Fiesta ST Line. Didn't do too hot either.

I get that sub-sections exist for a reason. However they only work when the traffic justifies it.


Stereotypes are not absolute, just a general rule of thumb based in some truth.

But the sentiment I've seen is that the Roush Package is a $13,000+ price tag for nothing more than a claim of prestige. A limited run of a mostly appearance packaged Ranger.

What would a Roush sub-forum be? A limited user prestige forum.

And thus the stereotype is self full-filling.

There is a whole sub-topic on what you could do to a Ranger with $13,000 (the before mentioned $450 tuner alone drops the Roush to the bottom of the performance list), but that would be a side-bar conversation.

Its your truck, enjoy it. Your money, enjoy it.

$13,000 and you get :

- custom wheels and tires not sold elsewhere

- custom stitch on seats that you can’t get for cheap

- custom ROUSH dual exhaust w/ catback and custom lettering

- fox 2.0 lift

- custom interior layer on speedometer

- custom key fob (nice little extra design)

I’m not saying I always wanna go fast and I’m here to race all the time. I don’t need a $450 tuner to go fast when I wanna go off roading or car shows or shit.. just go get some Trader Joe’s chicken ?

I own a truck. Maybe it’s prestige or something else .. I’m not trying to be a Lightning … or fast n furious member.. we all here for different reasons.

Maybe I and others want something that’s unique off the lot. Ford thinks this way too or we wouldn’t have these “options”…

Amazing that a nice and (yea) over priced Ranger is getting scrutinized over nothing but not everyone has one or are just super rare that most don’t know about them.

what people need to remember is that we are all a ford and subcategories of Ranger … family. That’s the important thing here. Not how much our family members use on their “babies.” ?

There are tire pressure and phone mount threads in the tremor forum. You know who else has phones and tires? Everyone here. Lots of good information that applies to everyone is easy to miss with it being so split up

It’s the attitude that some of the owners carry. I’m not referring to You specifically in my replies. Me personally, I think a specific platform forum shouldn’t have niche market sections. We are all here for the same reason right? A snobbish tremor owner told me I was jealous of his truck. Like really dude? His suspension is shit compared to mine.

It’s interesting. Every one of your posts in this thread have included unprovoked insults directed toward Roush and Tremor owners. Your replies seem designed to antagonize, segregate and provoke conflict.

You’ve also managed to let us know that your truck will outperform/donkey punch any of ours; not once, but twice so far in this thread……again without any provocation…..and yet you criticize Roush and Tremor owners as “acting as though their trucks are drastically different”.

Seems to me it’s pretty clear who’s living up to a “stereotype” in this thread…..and who’s pushing the segregation agenda.
