Lowered my truck, 3" in front. My wheels are -24mm offset with 265/50/20 tires. I most definitely had to remove my stock crash bars, LOL! I did install Ready Lift ones, but removed them too, due to less than 1/2" clearance lock to lock, sitting still in the garage... I didn't want the tires to grab the new bars, once moving, with suspension travel.
Anyway, when I removed the OEM bars, I also removed those big plastic rear wheel liner thingys. When I put it in reverse and turn slightly, you can hear the tires rubbing the liners. Yesterday, I had to make a sharp u-turn and I could also hear them rubbing then as well.
Easiest fix is to trim the liners and spray some black paint in there to cover the grayish looking metal.
Is there a fix that isn't the easiest route? I'd prefer not to trim them, but if I have too, I just have too?
Thanks!
