Sid, do you think one of those selt belt shoulder pads wrapped around the belt where it hits the seat would help with the rubbing? Just a thought.
I think that's worth a try...I placed an order for a set suggested by @Ranger85...unfortunately for me, mine is pretty worn already...?

For "normal wear" to allow seat belt chafing through seat fabric in under 4 years is pretty poor standard...I think they dropped the ball on this...
Mine, after 4 months is showing abrasion, though light.

Thanks for the link...I'll have to get some of these...NO MORE THESE PROBLEMS...

???

Too much pressure is good for the eyes. Gravida means, “I wish I was that seatbelt strap.” And, “You have a beer belly.” That too much pressure image is the reason most of us buy trucks that sit higher than those vehicles.

Too much pressure is the reason most of us buy pick up trucks because they sit higher than these vehicles and that too much pressure translates to, “Eye candy.” Gravida Translates to, “you have a beer belly.”

I gotta give props to the OP ... and a big thanks.

took a look at mine this morning ... I can't tell if it has been abraded, or if there is some kind of transition between leather and whatever is under the seat. Here's a pic.

I decided to put the padded belt thingies on both sides (Not sure the passenger seat need it because the pup's car seat "holds the belt away from the seat.

Driver, almost didn't get it in the pic. The wood you see is a 4x4 keeping the computer level while I try to teach it "Ford".

Passenger, I put the padded thing on, just incase I ever get to go anywhere with out the pup .... LOL ... that's not gonna happen.

The seatbelt covers just arrived. They are Velcro so you can adjust how tight it is on the belt, may slip a bit but once you buckle the belt it stays in place. Seems decently thick, if it wears out it came with 3 spares. The pics show it sitting lower than where it will be when I’m in the seat (you can see the wear on mine just above the cover, doesn’t look that bad in person but still not great).

It's a little more in line than the big gray fuzzy one I stole out of my wife's car. :)

OP glad you pointed this out, so we can all monitor, sad that it has to come to this but at the same point I'm happy that so many came up with a simple solution to a problem that FORD will not be fixing.

That's cheap enough Paul. I bought a set for the wife's Mustang as she's vertically challenged, and the belt hits her neck. I put one one her seat belt, and the other in the basement just waiting for something to use in on. With Sids @Msfitoy post of misfortune I think I've now found the perfect place.

Thanks for the follow up. Too bad they didn't work. Hopefully someone will come up with a good solution :)
