Price of used 5g Rangers

I still can not believe the high price of used 5g Rangers in pop up ads nationally and in my area . Wow I get offers from my dealer ( Tasca ) every week . But I love my saber Ranger and what about the price of a new one ? Tempting but I will keep my 19 Super cab .Can not do another damper lol .

The Ford dealer I had bought mine from had ZERO inventory. They had Chevy Corvettes on the showroom floor to take up space. I ended up selling my '20 STX FX2 with 20k miles back to the dealer for $28.5k and they didn't want the camper shell. Sold that the next day for $1k. They had it listed for $31.5k and sold it within a week.

What prices are you seeing for 4x4 xlt, or lariat? Yeah, it's an insane market... I haven't said anything to anyone here but I have put my truck up just to see what bites I get, been getting messages at 55k 2020 Lariat 4x4 with tech package and 12k in mods.

It's crazy in my area of the southeast also. They post a used one, and show it 2K off. If you check the window sticker it's still more than it was new. I'd sell mine, but hell it would cost me more to find an identical replacement. SMH

If I had my Bronco I would consider selling my Ranger now at these prices. Then I would wait it out until the next gen comes out, specifically the PHEV Ranger and buy one of those in year two. It's just like the housing market right now....A huge bubble waiting to burst.

My truck is worth more, now, at 75,000 miles than what I paid for it with 28,000 miles.

Granted the Ranger wasn't as popular when I bought mine, but goddamn.

My Carmax offer went up $1k from last week.

I've been tracking my truck's sell value for a bit now and have twice been offered what I told myself I would accept.

Turned it down both times.

I still check weekly just to see where the value is but I don't know if I'll sell it.

My current offer is several thousand more than I paid for it new.

Been doing the same for awhile. This is highest I've seen since end of July and has me tempted.

Problem is even if you get more than what you paid and put into it, you now have to buy something to replace it which will likely be overpriced no matter what you buy. My prediction is prices won't get back to normal until fall 2023 when the chip makers finally catch up.
