Someone at Toyota design is apparently a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica.

What other truck can people buy when most of them look the same? The designers just jump on a fad, and they'll be onto some other fad in a few years. As long as most people buy trucks that look mean, rugged, or tough ,those big grills are what they will all have
Yep. I agree.hmmm....underwhelming.
i guess they wanted consistency with the rest of the truck.
If they'd just add another few inches in front, it would have a factory "Carolina Lean"!the RED one pictured is no where as UGLY as this white one . . . .

Not your opinion, verified fact It's tragic looking.
The old Dakota was a beauty compared to this thingKinda reeminds me of an old Dodge Dakota.
Because for $50,000+, 9 out of 10 people will want something that is aesthetically pleasing too. Now, what that is varies from person to person - and that's the game. Some poor bastard out there loves this new tundra and is probably pre-ordering as you're reading this.I still don't understand why more energy is spent on the look of the truck and not on the use fullness of the truck. I thought trucks were meant for work and not being pretty.
