Just looking for a quality, spacer lift that goes on top of the strut.

Is there a decent kit that most of the forum agrees is the one to buy?

Thanks

I would absolutely agree with you, however I'm also buying wheels/tires so I do not have the luxury to spend that extra $1k.

This is strictly for looks, this truck will never leave the pavement.

I know there are some Rough Country Haters out there, but.... I was in the same budget situation as you so I put the Rough Country 2 1/2" spacer level on the stock 4x4 shocks and it worked out great. Ran it for about 10,000 miles before I made the switch to Fox 2.0 Coilovers. I ran it hard both on and off road and it performed great (just as expected). When I had the stock suspension removed, I inspected it and there were no issues was still solid as ever. So... Especially if you're not going off road, I would recommend it. I have to say though... The Fox coilers are night and day over the stock suspension so when your budget allows, it is a good move!

So, you want everyone on this site to agree as to what would be the best thing to do to your truck to undo the engineering that Ford spent thousands on, just for looks? LOL

No, but I'm sure some of the $100 kits are shit and some are decent. Just like they were when I had a Silverado and a Tacoma, just asking what to avoid.

Thanks though, won't bother asking any more questions. Sorry to disturb you.

it is just easier to ignore him. I am also interested to know the answer since I will not be running off road. My dealer is quoting $600 for install of a readylift level. no clue if that is way over price. I am sure it is on the higher end at least since it is a dealer

I asked the question about the ReadyLift 2” on a suspension thread after going through 2 years worth of comments on various threads but nobody responded so ask your questions. I was told by a few people that the Rough Country was a solid one for them for a lot of miles with no issues. I didn’t want the 2.5” though. Good luck in your process of figuring it out.

and why not, that very concept has driven a huge global aftermarket industry for as long as there have been automobiles.
Imagine the monetary hit to the world if every Mustang owner thought “why undo the Ford engineering for looks.” ?

From what I have read, Fordrangerlifts is the best route besides Rough Country. It’s a tad bit more expensive but not by much. I plan to go with FordRangerLifts when I get the chance. He’s also a forum member on here.

I’m in the same budgetary position so I’ve looked a lot.

I did a RC 2.5 and I am happy with it. I don't plan to go off road outside of a weekend trip to the cottage or stuff like that.
