Just got my XLT 2WD last week and ordered various small things to make it my own. First to arrive was this exhaust tip. Stock they always look kind of unfinished:

Amazon Warehouse: $33.
Practical effect: probably none.
Time to install: 2 minutes (took longer to find the 6mm hex than to bolt it on)

My favorite mod was to Gorilla Double Sided tape an apple MagSafe charger to a proclip dash mount. Allows the iPhone 12 Pro Max or the iPhone 12 mini to just "attach" there and charge while there. Works for the trailer brake app on the phone and bluetooth streaming of audio books.

Weather Tech floor liners, hood stone shield, mud flaps. Tailgate lettering from Amazon.
In process of making a small mount for my Scan Gauge...will sit on top of steering column just behind steering wheel. Waiting for paint to dry.

My favorite big mod is my front bumper from ARB!

Bought mine used and the PO had ordered it with the color tailgate letters (not raised) and the stone guard. Both are really good bang for your buck to make it stand out a little IMO.

What exhaust tip and splash guards are those?

Hey, George, the splash guards are just stock OEM and came with the truck. I did not even think about them at ordering time but ended up liking them, as they do the job without being flashy. I got this Gibson tip on Amazon. My problem was that I hated the look of the stock exhaust but did not want to replace it with something that would sound louder in the cabin and overpower the B&O music. I'm really happy with the results!

Not a "mod", but a necessary addition...
Added my co-pilot...been with me in every vehicle for the last 25 years. Since he's been riding with me I have had no flat tires, no accidents, no door dings, no mechanical breakdowns....he takes care of my stuff.

Today's mail brought the Dee Zee tailgate piston.

Not necessary but I put some Gorilla tape over the knuckle because the cable rubs against it when you close it. You do stuff like that when you have an expensive new toy

Practical effect: will save someone (probably me) from a bruise or concussion down the road
Time to install: <10 minutes (I knew it required a T50 torque bit to install so all tools were ready)

Favorite big mod? The tune for performance fun, the camper shell for outdoor fun.

@AzScorpion there, are you happy? Another damper crew member. He tried not to alert the system coded word for “damper”, thus, you did not get a notification. Can you stop peer pressuring others now with brute force?
