Guys which one is best? I can drill a hole in that oval thing...or can I just run it in the hole above?

Which one do u think ? Is the existing hole circled to the right a drain tube or will water rot the side?

I just let mine dangle right at the front of the bed where that crack is in the last pic. I’ve had no issues. I really didn’t want to drill a hole

Its been a little bit since ive worked on a ranger personally, but as long as that hole doesnt lead to somewhere water would pool up then that will be fine.

As far as i know, these holes just lead to the middle of the bed and quarter panel. If it wasnt for the mud flap, plastic thing in the tire well, all the mud, and sand would just build up on the inside. They are pretty hollow.

So it won't rust in there or anything right? It pretty much drips straight down....I imagine if I drilled a 5/8 hole in the oval thing it would go straight down..instead of within the back front of the tire fender....u guys see what I'm saying....?

What tonneau has a drain tube? I am on my fourth Ranger with a tonneau and none have had a drain tube.

I ran mine through those plastic plugs in the nose of the bed. I have a drop-in bedliner, and I actually had to drill corresponding holes through the bedliner to get into those plastic plugs.

Absolutely I totally know what you're talking about but instead of me drilling the holes through there I just ran it through that bottom hole that I have circled on the side and it just runs straight down there'll be no difference I already tested it and the water goes right down
