When I was a kid we had this big fat Sears catalog come around Thanksgiving every year. Had lots of guns for sale. You could buy a machine gun if you wanted it. Hell, you could buy a house and put it together yourself.

Also had green stamps. Save enough you could get some pretty nice stuff. I think they had a few guns available too.
Sadly we're already starting to say the same thing now. Heck just a couple years ago I could go into my local Walmart and buy an AR-15 and 5.56 ammo..... Not anymore! ?

And so it begins. Wanna bet every manufacture will stop selling ammo to PA. But what happens when all the other anti states join in on this? They'll never confiscated 300M + guns but here's a perfect way to make sure you can't use them.

A 5 cent per bullet tax will be proposed in Pennsylvania as part of legislation to be brought forth by two state House Democrats, Rep. Manny Guzman and Rep. Stephen Kinsey. The tax would fund a state police database of ammunition sold in Pennsylvania. The planned legislation would require ammunition manufacturers to encode ammunition provided for retail sale in Pennsylvania, and to provide ammunition serial numbers to the Pennsylvania State Police for the ammunition database. The plan was revealed in a joint memo to the state legislature by Guzman and Kinsey.

Like they say: "there are an estimated 380 million firearms an billions of rounds of ammo owned by 88 million Americans. If legal gun owners were a problem we'd know about it"

if you look at the gov statistics either DOH or FBI on firearm deaths you will see over half are suicide an the majority of the remaining are gang related.

back to gun porn ;-)

New Phoenix Trinity Honcho pistol arrived today. Being sponsored by them, I don’t get to choose the serial number and my constant heckling of the owner over vodka I drink (Titos) vs vodka she drinks (grey goose) resulted in a funny serial number.

I now have two. The greyer looking pistol has a little over 30k rounds through it and is finished with black DLC for the finish. The new pistol is finished by H&M with a black nitride finish that produces a super hard surface and about the blackest black finish possible.

Both pistols have:
-single and ambi safeties
-9mm and .40 iron sight barrels
-9mm single port barrel (factory 9mm)
-9mm 3-port (HOT 9mm….think +p++)
-stainless steel grips
-autocorrecting magwells
-modular rear of the slide for irons or optic mount
-Tac railed frames

The new Honcho also has been drilled and tapped for a frame mount for an optic.

Weber Tactical sent out all new holsters and mag pouches for the new gun.

I’m closing my office at noon tomorrow and heading to the range with ~1000rds of 9mm and an badly itching trigger finger.

Sportsmen's Warehouse has a 9mm SAR9 pistol for $330 , they describe it as a 4.4" Luger. Is this a decent pistol, I'm going to be moving to a semi remote area soon and want to pickup a handgun for personal protection, TIA.

I've never really had any issues with Turkish guns. They seem to have mastered the art of producing cheap and mostly reliable firearms.

Use this argument if ever questioned about why ownership of any firearm is a right. Until they change the constitution it remains as it. Any infringement is unlawful and nonenforceable

One of the most common rebuttals to this is, "Well why don't we all just go buy nuclear bombs?"

A pretty standard logical fallacy.

To which I reply, "Ok, what isle in Walmart can do go get them? I'm down."

The point being companies are not stupid. You can't buy a nuclear bomb at Bob's Big Booms box store anymore than you can find a company to that will sell you an Apache Helicopter that you just fly off the lot like a buying a car at a car dealership.

All that to say this; people who think explaining in plain English what the 2A is are basically glutton's for punishment. You can't convince a drunk they have a drinking problem.

There is no argument to be made when one side is armed with nothing but a pocket full of fallacies.

thanks - I recall a couple of guys from my waterfowl club saying pretty much the same thing a few years back, there were referring to auto loader shotguns and said the turkishs brands were exceptional values.

I can see now my AR-308 might take some extra time to finish up. I still need a BCG and a stripped upper. I will need to borrow some money from my gun fund for some ranger parts.

I have used well over a dozen Rubber City Armory bolt carrier groups, with 5-6 being large frame for .308, 6 Creedmoor, and 6.5 Creedmoor.

If you already have a lower you intend to use, I typically recommend buying the stripped upper from the same company. There are multiple specs and no set mil-spec for large frame ARs. I personally use American Defense Manufacturing.

Had a little fun at the range with the new and old pistols. I couldn’t help but “ninja cock” and “Akimbo” them. ?

btw…..”ninja cock” was a term we gave to using momentum to rack the slide on a pistol one handed. Years ago, we did it with Glocks and it works with many handguns if you’re fast enough. Definitely do not recommend a novice trying it with loaded ammo or away from a range.
