But, wait - aren't "they" defunding police departments? :lipssealed:

As stupid as the tax is (and angry-mob-creating), who here believes the insurers statement about it will "cost little to nothing"?

Go ahead, I'll wait.

Anybody?

Seriously, anybody?

Yah, I thought so.

San Jose City: We're taxing you because you're a law-abiding citizen and have legally purchased firearms.
Owner: Um, what the hell?
San Jose City: We have that right.
Owner: What about my rights?
San Jose City: Pay us.
Owner: :explode:

Mr. Insurance Man: You are required to have firearm insurance too.
Owner: And how much are you going to charge for that?
Mr. Insurance Man: Little to nothing
Owner: Umm, what the hell does that amount to?
Mr. Insurance Man: Somewhere between nothing and a little.
Owner: A little what?
Mr. Insurance Man: Well, let's see....hhmmm...I guess a little fortune is still a little, right?
Owner: :explode:

If this passes, boat insurance is going to go through the roof!

The goal on the left is full firearm confiscation, some come right out an say it like "Beto O'Rourke", most know to just call it "reasonable common sense gun laws. That pesky second amendment keeps getting in the way of their dream so they go about it in stealth ways. Banks and insurance companies are under pressure not to do business with the "gun industry". They'd love to be able to sue them out of business by holding the firearm companies for damages done buy criminals. That "cube" thing that is used to run credit card payments though a cell phone won't process firearm related purchases. We better hope they fail to pack the SCOTUS.

I'm picking up a 45 MOS Deltapoint Pro combo on Sunday. (mine will just have standard sights)

Glock-MOS-2.jpg

Also, I don't know how the stars aligned, but my department is finally getting rid of our Gen 4 22's and 27's in 3 months. An Atlanta area store rep came around and they are paying us $350 for every 22 and 27 we trade in. This is an absurdly great deal. We are going to end up paying next to nothing out of pocket to re-outfit everyone from road patrol and CID with a 45 with Ameriglo Bold sights (primary) and 43x with standard night sights (backup).

It goes without saying, but the Gen 4's are absolute dog-shit. Gen 5's go back to Gen 3 era mechanics.

They are also going to trade out all our .40 ammo for 9mm box for box.

@Glocker
I have had this gun for almost a year now, best gun I have ever owned. I carry it every day. I have a few more Glocks, but in my book this beats out the 19 even.

I forgot to add....their plan B is to make owning a firearm too expensive for as many people as possible. There are various proposed taxes at the point of sale on firearms and ammunition. Even an annual tax on every firearm, magazine and round of ammo.

That's fine but then they'd be opening upon a can of worms allowing every inanimate object to be held liable for what the owner does. Think about it everyone would be suing for whatever they now wanted to. Hey I spent all my money modding my Ranger, I'm seeing Ranger 5G for this! lol

They've been putting on CC companies for a while now. If they succeed there goes 50% or more go the gun industry right there! A lot of my purchases are from online stores with no brick n mortar storefront. PayPal sold out a long time ago that's why I refuse to use them and only do if there's no other choice.

I suppose I’ll be getting a PM soon from 5G.

Mr. Trigga,

You’re walking a fine line sir and we respectfully ask that the tone of your comments becomes more politically correct as we don’t like trouble makers around here. Otherwise, you might just get shot or we’ll tax you a damper ?

Regards

If that were true the Admin would've fined me a long time ago just from this thread alone! Throw in the damper and I'd be bankrupt. ?

When I was a kid we had this big fat Sears catalog come around Thanksgiving every year. Had lots of guns for sale. You could buy a machine gun if you wanted it. Hell, you could buy a house and put it together yourself.

Also had green stamps. Save enough you could get some pretty nice stuff. I think they had a few guns available too.
