Bought my ranger last week. So far it is the most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever been in or owned. During the test drives it seemed fine but after driving 30+ mins at a time it is just the worst.

I can not for the life of me find a comfortable seating position at all.

The suspension is like I am riding around a in a bounce house. I have never been in a vehicle so bouncy. Something else I did not notice when test driving.

Anyone else have these issues? I can deal with the bounciness but the uncomfortable seat might just make me get rid of it.

"Comfort" is such a subjective criteria. Wife and I were just talking about how comfortable we found the Ranger to be (especially for a truck). And that conversation came at about hour 3 of a 4 hour trip with a toddler and a dog in the back seat.

I'm 6'1" and have no issues with comfort. My one wish would be to have the center armrest come forward another 3" or so. That said, I've found the sweet spot for my arm to rest and I can drive for hours in that position.

Bummer you're hating the truck so much.

My previous Tacoma killed my back and feet stuck straight out. My 2020 scab Ranger seats are as comfortable as any car I have ever owned; primarily the reason I bought it...22K miles and no complaints!!!
I've always found Ford seating to be the best for me out there. One of my careers was used car salesman and I got the chance to sit in just about every mass market vehicle. I have a back injury from a motorcycle accident and like to sit more upright with firm lumbar, and well off the floor. Most GM products have me too close to the floor. Even my '99 Cougar was comfortable. I was a little leery of the manual seats in the Ranger XL, but I sat in a 301A XLT (same seats as the STX) with the 10 way manual seat and was very satisfied, so I went ahead and ordered.

I am six-foot three with a bad back (work-related, back when I was young and foolish and showing off my strength all the time), and I find the Ranger seats to be really comfortable. I need a firm lumbar support, and on all my previous (non-Ford) vehicles, I always ended up using some kind of support bar or insert. To my very pleasant surprise, on our 2014 Explorer Limited, the seats were fine without anything extra, and the same is true for our 2019 Ranger Lariat. I was a little concerned about the manual seat-back adjustment on the Rangers, but, practically speaking, you just set it once and then leave it alone, and so that is a non-issue. And, of course, the heated seats feel great on a cold morning!

My F-150 Screw Ecobeast was like sitting in a big recliner.

One of the main reasons I purchased a Ranger was the comfort of the seat and I test drove a GMC, Chevy, Tacoma and Ridgeline. GMC was like sitting on a rock. Ridgeline was a close second for comfort.

I'm currently in the market for a 2019 Ranger and in my research, a lot of the build dates seem to be 1/2019. I came across one that was 11/2018. Yes, not a typo. November 2018. I have seen a couple with 3/2019, 6/2019 and 11/2019 but that's it.
Mine was built the first week of Dec. 2018, picked it up a month later

Either he had physical issues or he is a candy azz. Come on now 30 min seat time and he throws in he towel. I just drove from San Antonio to Las Cruces 8.5 hrs 596 miles. Today I am driving another 10 hrs to get home.

2021 Latiat S-cab FW4. Seat is awesome shocks for highway travel are excellent. I had no aches or issues yesterday and this morning I feel great and ready for another 10 hrs in the seat.

Hopefully selling the truck today. Still the most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever owned. :(
I really tried to like it but was never able to find comfort on 30+ minute drives.

As far as the "Bounce" issue. I bought the rear shocks from Eibach and the bounce issue was solved. Highly recommend.

Wish you guys the best.

Maybe he found a deal on a vinyl bench seat Isuzu P'up

OP, I was going to recommend selling your vehicle for big bucks to Carvana and " downgrading" to a newer XLT with cloth seats (or at least test driving one to see if the seats are better).

I was also hoping for a better description from you of "uncomfortable" as requested in someone's former post i.e. where does it hurt? Sounds like you fixed the problem though.. happy trails.

Apparently you were not enamored with the idea of being a truck owner, and uncomfortable seats was your exit point. We've all experienced buyers' remorse at times; there's a whole thread devoted to it on the forum.
I did just the opposite; sold my "lifetime" 2018 Escape that I never really liked and ordered a 2021 Ranger which I really do. We are in a rare and booming seller's market right now, so if you are going to move on this is a really good time to do so.
Best of luck with your Tesla!
