I like it. In a lot of ways, the Mav is what I was really hoping for in the Ranger when it was relaunched here in the States. Don't get me wrong, I love my Ranger, but the Mav checks a lot of boxes for me in what I would be looking for in a small truck for everyday use. A step smaller than the current midsize offerings is a plus for a wider car buying populace, and I think Ford has a hit on their hands since they are essentially out of the sedan market now.

I meant, they obviously have plans for that spot. And, the thing isn't in production, yet.

I agree it will be a larger screen as that bare spot looks ridiculous. But just because it's a larger screen doesn't mean it'll have Sync 4. I hope you're right because with all the nice features the interior has putting Sync 3 in it wouldn't make any sense.

True. It will become 4 even if it starts as 3. IMO

I like to have some positive margin when I'm towing. This is advertised as having 4,000 lb towing capacity (if you sacrifice the hybrid) but I haven't yet seen a GCWR spec yet. I'm guessing any sort of payload will quickly violate GCWR with a 4K lb trailer. It's probably the reason their marketing talks about being able to tow a jetski or something comparable.
