Aren't the current Rangers the fourth generation? I just ordered a 2021 4WD Supercab (although the dealer said it could possibly be a 2022 depending on date) and have been reading a lot of websites and info on the current Rangers. Sounds like they are called fourth generation. Or is that not accurate?

Thanks,

There is debate on another thread of 4G vs 5G. I really do not know what G it should be...

Phil,

I don't think I've ever heard those words come from your mouth? Well that's it, if Phil doesn't know no one does!?

Hi Dave,

It is confounded by if you include the ROW Ranger in the mix...then 5G....of only North American, Then 4G. And the South American Ranger is not in the mix in either, but existed as a unique crew cab short box... Who writes the Rules of Generations???? So IDK!

did you also know, that when you celebrate the first anniversary of your birth, typically called your first birthday....its actually the 2nd celebration of your birthday.
as the day you slid outta the womb was technically your first birthday.
At my age I don't want to add to it. :)

I did know that. What's worse is you're now one more year closer to death than you thought. o_O

Generations 001.jpg
Geez John, with this graphic, you’re making me nostalgic for my ‘91, ‘96, and ‘01. I think it’s pretty cool that I’ve owned all four NA generations. Yeah, I’m a fan!
