no check engine light makes it questionable whether valve gave way 1st, however I have seen people drive for many miles with a crank bearing going out, it just gets louder and louder and then finally the big bang and when that rod is free it can hit the valves as well as poke a hole in the block. You lose a valve on a modern engine and the CEL lights up pronto.Very good explanation.
Moneyshifted my FiST into 2nd instead of 4th on the highway @ about 60mph when I first got it. Buried the tach and thought for sure I dropped a valve. But I escaped unscathed. Man that shifter is vague.
You really should delete that part of both threads.
What you did essentially voids your Stage 3 warranty.

It’s an automatic.. I just push Gas pedal, and Brake pedal ?Very good explanation.

For sure. Pretty sure he didn't drop a valve as well. Pics obviously came from the dealership. We know OP doesn't care enough to go take them himself. Pics were obviously focused on damaged areas. I'd expect to see a picture of it if there were valve damage.no check engine light makes it questionable whether valve gave way 1st, however I have seen people drive for many miles with a crank bearing going out, it just gets louder and louder and then finally the big bang and when that rod is free it can hit the valves as well as poke a hole in the block. We all get that. Wasn't talking about you. Overrevs are not the only source of a dropped valve. It’s an automatic.. I just push Gas pedal, and Brake pedal ?
Yeah, I have a feeling it’s coming... ??Season Three: The Trilogy- History Repeats Itself
You suffer from a combination of oversensitivity and a lack of reading comprehension.@D Fresh yes, the pics didn’t come from me... I’d be more than happy to pay for your plane ticket to Texas, so you could take all the pictures to your liking... what upsetted you about the pics?? Are you sad about not having before and after pics when I had the engine Armor All with High Gloss, or Satin?? Please tell me what is so upsetting to you?? You would basically be staring at the same pics, if I drove down to fucking Pasadena, to use my IPhone, to snap some more pics for you... what’s your problem with the pics?? It’ll be my IPhone or a Samsung... It’s on my dime and on my dollar... fly on down and take some pics... the fact that you think I don’t care about my truck is funny... well if the pics came from the OP’s iPhone, things would be getting done faster??... It’s not how it works @D Fresh... It’s my dime, it’s my dollar, let me deal with it....
@Dfresh, then that’s my bad... my bad, and I’ll take it... and to engineers etc., it’s frustrating for a simple man to see the simple pics, that you guys pull detail out of... at times, I get frustrated at what engine builders, and engineers can see, and can draw conclusions from... I get frustrated from not educating myself more... it’s why I post here, you guys blow my mind at times, with your knowledge... just sayin... ?You suffer from a combination of oversensitivity and a lack of reading comprehension.
I was only pointing out that the pics seem to be of all damaged areas, no valve train pics leads me to believe their was no valve train damage. That's all. Simple point. Whatever you read into it is on you.
Sorry you took offense.
Doug, you suffer from being over critical.. I completely understand what you said... that’s all... with that being said, can we still be friends? I’m not here to start arguments, I just want to learn, and enjoy being a forum member... ?You suffer from a combination of oversensitivity and a lack of reading comprehension.

You seem like a chill dude @Project Midnight, kick back with some cold ones kind of guy. Maybe it's my fault for living in California, but you seem to have a stable of kind of expensive performance vehicles. I would recommend selling your least favorite one and getting a shitbox 90's Honda or Foxbody Mustang to fix up yourself. @vitus, I agree, I have some that I need to get rid of... ?, I hate it, it’s like.. that one, no no wait, that one... no!! Wait a minute... An 83 mustang convertible 5.0.. my first water pump change lol bought a repair book from Autozone.. If I can see it, I may possibly figure out how to get to it... ? Eventually upgraded to a ‘93 with 3” Mac headers, 3” dumps behind the axle... had the stock pipes tac welded so cops wouldn’t ding me... back then, they had a magazine Mustang 5.0 that had, “the 10 minute tune up” if anyone remembers this... you adjusted your throttle positioner (TPS) to .999 volts I think? (adjusted your timing from the stock 14 degrees? I’m going on long term memory, to any engineers that would like to jump in and help me?) to about 17? If you did that, with intake and exhaust, your 302” could hang with the newly released ‘93 or 92? 350 Chevy SS Camaro.. I slow rolled through the parking lot, blipped my throttle, and caught one hahaha As I slowly pulled out of the parking lot a new SS ran up on me... He yells at me, “ you wanna run it?? “ I replied “Always!!!” Evil laughter ensued... I hung on by a nose... writing this, made me laugh inside... and, made me want to create a new thread, for everyone, to come and share your stories... I don’t want to bog this thread down, with stories, BUT, there is so much talent on this forum, I know that there’s some good stories out there... and I’d like to hear them... until we meet again ??You seem like a chill dude @Project Midnight, kick back with some cold ones kind of guy. I’ve thought about it... do you think $500,000 or $1,000,000 life insurance policy would throw a red flag?? ??getting rid of the wife an option???
As much as I joke about it, she has kept me grounded through this whole ordeal, and she’s my base... a good woman... I love her to death... ??I’ve thought about it... do you think $500,000 or $1,000,000 life insurance policy would throw a red flag?? ??
