Beautiful Easter weekend!

Finalized my Bedrug, swingboxes and Wolf Haus power outlet installation.

Time to get the camper out of storage and ready for a trip.

I did the new Hummer conversion on my Ranger.

Just kidding. I really really wanted to be done with Rack 2.0 today, minus the small details but it just did not happen. I still need to install the rear panel and rear lights and fabricate up the top brace brackets for the side paneling. Then I need to reinstall my storage pod system.

But on a brighter note my folding ARB awning setup should work smoothly, more than enough clearance. I just need to position it so the folding/locking brackets connect to a cross beam. Some photos without it secured.

Today’s additions:
Aux rear lights and under the hood lights. Both are controlled by the Auxbeam switches. My biggest problem remains finding an accessible switched power source in the front fuse box.i love to use the accessory fuses but the add a circuit interferes with the fuse lid so currently I’ve tapped the power steering but that mean the truck needs to be fully powered on to operate the farkles.

Nice! Do these have a mounting option that's compatible with a flush style tonneau cover? Seen discussion on this from searching but no solid / detailed answers regarding the Leer HF650M I plan on adding. Would like to find a solution that lets me accomplish this without removing the bed cover.

The most popular cover to work with this rack is the Retrax Tonneau covers with the t-track side rails. This are also sold from Ford under the rebranded Embark name. I have the RetraxOne XR which is the polycarb cover version and is slightly cheaper, but still great quality. The more expensive ones have a metal retractable cover.

The rack that you are seeing here is the Yakima rack and it was designed with the Retrax/Embark cover in mind and to work very well here. The key you want to look for with this rack is the ability to receive a t-rack base mount in the bed rail attachments of the tonneau cover. If you google search "bed covers with t-track rails", you will get a bunch of different options like Retrax, Pace Edwards, Truck Hero, and more.

Thanks for the reply! This is helpful for sure. I was set on the Leer hf650m. I like the design and apparent quality, and it is supposed to be pretty watertight without the requirement for drain tubes. I guess I may have to reconsider to find a solution that can integrate both, although not sure there is anything that has the above mentioned qualities of the Leer bed cover...

I have now run this cover for almost 2 years and 25k miles, including with kayaks, skis, SUPs, etc. up on the rack and items on the bed cover (can hold 200lbs on the cover itself in the version I have) so I have definitely put it to the test. I love the convenience of opening and closing as well as locking in any position, however, on water tightness, it is great all around the cover, expect at the tailgate, but the tailgate itself is also not water tight so I can't say for sure it's all the cover. I only see water in the bed though when going through the touchless car wash or maybe a really hard rain, and even then, it kind of has to be directed at the tailgate, so it does do quite a good job on that! One other thing with this cover to note is that you lose about 8"-10" where the toolbox sites to roll the cover into at the front of the bed up high. For most of what I do, it is no issue, but just something to note! Let me know if you have any other questions I would be happy to answer for ya the best I can!

Losing 8"-10" is not a big deal when compared to the 2' lost with the tri-fold cover I already have. Do you have any experience with removal/reinstall? I sometimes find the need to take mine off completely for certain jobs and I like the ease of being able to do so if needed.

these are awesome! What tonneau cover are you using and any concerns for interference there? Why didn’t you get the front panels that go over the wheel wells also?

The Tonneau cover is by Roll-N-Lock and no interference. I did not get the front panel because the two back side are enough for what i need to tie down and i also have a bike rack using the front tie down screws.
