Is Pedders the only BBK anyone has installed?? I know there are others.

I want a BBK that fit under 18" factory wheels (I know Pedders fits under 17" wheels) but NOT looking to spend that kind of money... I know that is NOT likely, but can hope.

As the saying goes "If you want to play you gotta pay!!!". You want a big brake kit? Prepare to spend big dollars!!!

Out of curiosity what are you doing that you believe you need a Big Brake Kit?

With the summer set of wheels and tries on (275/50R20's) you can tell the brakes are working extra hard to stop... they do it, but not as well as they should. Winter 18" wheels mostly OK, but could still use a boost.

I'd try a different pad compound first. Upgrading brake hardware is almost never needed on street applications. Common misconception is that larger brakes are for more clamping force, in actuality their main purpose is to help mitigate brake fade from the heat of repeated high force brake applications. Larger brakes will often times give a more confident feeling pedal, but the actual braking capacity as in your stopping distance is almost always limited by your tires not your brakes.

If you do want to upgrade hardware, I'd make sure to find a kit that uses a common pad size. In the event you need a pad in a hurry it's nice to be able to go to most parts stores and have a pad in your hand if not that day, within a day or two, versus having your vehicle down because you're having to wait for some one off specialty pad to be shipped from halfway across the world.

Well I can't promise you that most of your problems probably coming out to the aftermarket 20 inch wheels that probably have a nice soft summer Tire compound that stick extra hard. With that said I can understand but I don't think a big brake kit would be the way to go

These are the ones I helped them develop because the bracket offset was different than ROW Rangers. And I paid full hour on the kit because they thought it was the same..
@RCMUSTANG as I recall reading you review you were happy with them... still so?? your PBs are the only one I can find that have actually been installed and working.

Of course this just my opinion: Initially, I thought Pedders = PB (brain fart) but not so. PBs are at least reasonably  priced... hovering around $2.1k (with my choice of options) depending on options. Pedders at $2.7K (same config as I chose for PBs) (neither price is with shipping accounted for. Pedders wants you life history before they are will to show shipping costs... I did not go for it. PB is $218 shipping).

I did find another vendor CEIKA They come in about $2.1k configured same as PB & Pedders. I have CEIKA floating rotor on my Volvo and they are working well. Don't know if they know about the off-set difference on US vs POW Rangers... have to ask.

Still work perfectly to this day. I paid about $1700.

Yes, the big wheels are surely the cause of most of it. What is your Plan B?? The wheels are staying. I really do like them. I can live with the brakes the way they are... I mean they DO WORK... just working way to hard to get it done.

Instead of spending thousands of dollars on break I say be a little patience and try and give your driving habits a little bit more room for stopping. In time BBC will release brakes for our trucks that are much more affordable than what we currently have available
