I don't know if all dealers are like this but the AutoNation chain will only offer $1000 on a trade in for any car with an airbag deployment. Corp policy has them wholesale them out. I would be glad it's a lease. Good luck on getting it fixed Ponytail. (I had this happen when I traded my 05...
For what it's worth I was told by DeeZee back in August that their damper was done but could only be bought from Ford until 2020. That said this may be their damper with a Ford markup on price.
I was told by DeeZee that their damper was built and had a Ford part number. Also that for now that's the only place to get it. That said I have not taken the time to verify.
For short trips under 15 miles, an adult can sit in the back, my 5 year old granddaughter has plenty of room, and the 6 foot bed is a must. My Lariat is a beast, love it.
Alazar14, trust the fact that electronics suffer from "infant mortality" while mechanical parts suffer from "old age". I'm now on my fourth Ranger and my 2019 is a beast compared to the other three. Good luck it will get better.
My 2005 had a bed liner from day one, bed was still solid, had a few scratches but that's all when I sold it. The new factory bed liner has 4 inch rubber grommets that cover the holes for the tie downs. Just put a solid lift up painted to match cover on my super cab and expect both to last for...
Could your issue been tire size, my Lariat with 18" wheels rides twice as well as my wife's 2014 Patriot Latitude. Handles like a dream and corners a bit too well (catch a curb now and then).
My truck did it once, took it to the dealer they found no codes. I have updated with a thumb drive formatted to "exFat" and now have Sync3.3 build 19052 (i believe the build number is correct) and no issues. Go to the owner pages and follow the instructions on updating Sync.
I get around 19.5 after 600 miles. But ... and this is a big one, I have found I can't drive this truck like I did my 2005 3.0L Ranger. It's throttle is touchy, Compare it to the old 4 barrel carbs, keep the back two closed using only the front two and you got good gas mileage, open all four...
I started driving mine like my 2005 Ranger 3.0L, watched the tach climb over 3K, realized the pedal is very touchy. Gonna try and see if a lighter foot improves mileage. Yet I still know what happens if I goose it a little. Seems I need to learn to keep it under 2500 RPM.
Guys,
thanks for the thoughts, My only fears are what happens when I pull a boat trailer with the truck. How will it handle the tongue weight if it's lower 2" in the rear?
