Today's work.

Hardwired in the Yi Dashcam and added my first window decal...those who know know.

Replaced the 12 v outlet to USB outlet and install the Auxbeam 6 Gang. I still am waiting for my grommet tool before I can install the rest of the Auxbeam. I tried for over an hour to thread it through and then decided my mental health was worth $20. This Auxbeam panel is blue lite to blend with all the rest of this stuff.

Installed four bed tie-downs. Bought tie-downs from Amazon ($10.99), a DeWalt M8x1.25 tap from Home Depot ($8.97), and four M8x1.25 20mm hex cap screws from Ace Hardware ($3.71). Much less $ than Ford parts.

Nice, any drivetrain vibration?
There is a noticeable vibration compared to the factory tires, but nothing like riding on mud tires. They do also have a bit more road noise, but these tires are also far from new. Now sure how they would ride/sound when brand new.

Was the tap just to clean out the liner?

Was the tap just to clean out the liner?
Yes, I held the tap with an adjustable end wrench. Turn 1/4 quarter turn, back out, repeat several times until tap turns easily. Removed the tap, put screw through the tie-down, put Loctite on the screw, and attach. Good way to kill 30 minutes on a sunny afternoon.

I'm sure I can find something similar, but happen to have an Amazon link for the tie downs?

I have leftover parts from making my own LED bed lights so I made a 20 inch one (weather proof) and used 3M tape to mount it under the hood, I didn't want to drill holes so I opted not to use the 2 different plunger type of switches I had on hand, instead I was able to locate a tilt switch aka mercury switch, yes they still make them just have it enclosed in plastic and a new name (Amazon) ran the wires in loom and tucked it in nicely around and thru the hood. I could not locate a fuse box adapter that fit the fuse slots under the hood so I put 1/4" ring connectors on and attached it to the battery using 2 oem nuts. Put the 3 Amp fuse in line on the positive line and the switch on the negative line. Works!

The fuses under the hood have an odd spacing. I found fuses that fit easy enough but no parts store had a mounted fuse adapter ( 2 fuses 1 slot).
