First oil change coming up this weekend and got a Fumoto drain valve. Had my machinist student today make the hose couplers. Simple challenge but he’s got to think it through.

Stopped by a few auto box stores for a socket cap for our wix filter size. Nothing fits right. It’s a 74/15 size but everything is to big ??‍♂

Correct. Also the other empty M8 holes.

If you have spray-in liner, I recommend chasing the threads with a tap first to remove the liner material.

Hey Ranger_Rocks,

I ordered a bunch of these on Amazon - stainless, super cheap, and they give you more anchor points than the “missing” tie downs. I might even replace some of my factory tie downs with these.

Stubby antenna. It’s even smaller than I expected.

I would be curious to hear if you are still happy with your FM reception and if you noticed any difference.

Go to harbor freight and buy their three jaw filter wrench and a long extension. Cheap and it works on any filter.

I have that same stubby and notice no reception problems at all. Money well spent for me.

Thank you, once I am able to find a place to get the Yakima bed rail racks I will order to carry our kayaks but the stock antenna would still be in the way.
Where did you order yours from and what’s a good price?

Havent installed it yet, but I almost never listen to am/fm, so garage clearance was the primary motivator. In fact, I’ve owned the truck six weeks and have yet to listen to am/fm In the truck.
