I re-did my entire pod storage connection method. I was not satisfied at all with the series of L-shaped brackets I had used and found a much cleaner method of connecting them all while keeping them symmetrical and rock solid using long pieces of angled aluminum stock on top and undernearth that the pods bolt to. I also took the opportunity to go ahead and trim the horizontal dividers to clear the gas struts. The pod I took a picture of is the "armory in a pinch" unit. Basically all the field repair parts/tools you might need for a gun repair go in here. Just kind of gives you an idea of storage possibilities. Dividers can be reduced or left out for bigger items. The new supports will be painted black when I get some more free time.

Next up I decided to go ahead and start to map out the connection points of my new RCI panels that are on order by using my existing panels. This way when they arrive the brackets are in place and ready to go. Pictures just show progress, not anywhere done securing them. Unfortunatly I can't map the rear panel out because I have to wait for the 44.5" panel as the sides are 56.5" and the connection points would not line up knowing my luck.

Replaced the link I damaged, changed the oil, and adjusted the headlights. Still need to adjust the Diode Dynamic Pro fog lights so I don’t blind everyone.

Would I be better served finding a shop that handles 4x4’s to do my alignment or would a local tire shop suffice?

It kind of depends how trustworthy the local shops are there. I went to my local Brakes Plus for my alignment. I knew several other Jeep guys who went there and had good results plus the manager has a Tacoma and is into off roading.

Thanks. I’ll see if I can find some Jeep folks to make a recommendation.

I got my Ford Tuned Fox 2.0 installed. Only have 10 miles on it but a definite improvement. Much more responsive and the bounce is gone. I'll provide a better update after I put more miles on it but it looks great and am glad I did it. The road to camp will be much more comfortable this year!

Now I have two more important decisions to make. Which tires? I'm thinking the General Grabber ATX in 265/70R17 as the reviews have been darn good and I think they look great. Second decision is while letters out or in. ?

I have the atx in 275. Good tire, but be aware, they do throw stones pretty bad if you drive on gravel roads. My opinion, white letter in. All black wall.

Solid, functional upgrade!!

Consider Goodyear Adventure ATs.. https://www.goodyear.com/en-US/tires/wrangler-all-terrain-adventure
These tires have proven to be very durable, smooth rolling, balance well and quiet on my Jeep Cherokee (c rated for that application). If you will drive rocky trails white letters in will avoid scuffing those letters which can make them look beat up.

Both these or those Generals are great high function choices.

I like the letters out myself.

New speakers and an amp upgrade.

Big day today!
I would love to know how this sounds once you get it all in. Seriously considering upgrading the speakers. I have played around with the EQ as much as I can with the stock setup, but I keep feeling like there is something missing in the sound. Did you replace the rears as well? What amp are you using?

I currently have a Alpine Ktp445u, but am upgrading to the Kicker Key 200.4 today. The speakers are Rockford Fosgate Punch P1675-S components. Also running an underseat Rockville 8" powered sub.

I didn't bother with the rears yet since they honestly don't do much for the soundstage in my supercab--I'll put in some midbass drivers if they blow. I think the door sound deadening will make a big difference too! I'll update you when it's all in!

Washed and waxed today and added the Texas Ranger badge. Some other pics of things I've added since last post: Bugflector II, TVD letters front and tailgate, and the 4 grill Raptor lights. Also added Eibach shocks to the rear last weekend.

Mines at 2years and 25k miles so decided a little detail was in order. washed, clay bared, a little minor buffing and a paint sealant. As far as paint chips, it had 3 chips large enough to be touched up, all picked up in 1st couple thousand miles. Who knows, maybe the paint got harder as it cured.
