The lower valance on my truck is still the silver color of sorts which is ok since it matches the FX4 skid plate that i added. To my understanding others have painted theirs for thier own preferences.

That's one of the first mods I did. I hated the silver, didn't match anything. I painted mine with a black textured chip resistance paint by Dupli-color

I painted the Raptor style grill Magnetic but the valence in black. ?

What did you use to paint it magnetic grey? Did you take it to a body shop for paint matching? Or did you DIY it? Really interested in this because I want to add some fender flares and splash guards. I love the look of the magnetic grey trim and dont really want to add black plastic pieces to my truck.

I had a local body and detail shop do the Grill. $175 but well worth it IMHO, it is a perfect match and still looks great after a little over a year. They had several chips for magnetic and the shop owner and his painter and I compared them to get just the right shade. Took it to them before I installed it. I just used a rattle can for the valence. I removed it so there would be no over spray. ?

Painting this doesn't mess with the front parking sensors at all?

I painted the lower valence, the sensors and the bash plate shadow black. Obviously the sensors is just a light coat, but I did not have any issues with the function of the sensors.

I have the Sport with black package. Mine is silver from factory. Haven’t decided yet if I’ll paint it or not. You can buy rattle can paint online that is factory colors but it won’t last long seeing where it is and taking the brunt of rock and sand hits. If I do decide to paint it will be bed liner paint that is epoxy based and then baked in the sun for a week to really get it to cure hard.
