Velossa Tech Design Big Mouth for 2019+ Ranger

Hello everyone! Dan from VT here, I just wanted to say hi and thank everyone for your support. Robert, John etc.. All you guys who volunteered to come in and test fit, test performance and make sure this project was 110% and no less, I thank you all on the forum as well for welcoming our product line and vision. As the owner of the company and designer of the BIG MOUTH product line, I rarely see such a solid group of enthusiasts as the ranger forum. We serve over 30 platforms, some are not as welcoming as you so give yourselves some credit for being a solid group of enthusiasts.

I am not an official vendor so I cannot promote the product, however I would like to ask those in this thread who have posted pictures for permission if we can use the pictures for our social media pages and of course we'd love to tag you on IG if you have one.

@Grimlock and @Zetterbeard I love your pictures you posted up in this thread, and kindly ask for permission to use them in our picture gallery. If you have IG please let me know so I can tag you.

QUESTION: does this Velossa Tech RamAir, REPLACE the OEM intake (or if we’ve already installed a AFE Magnum Force Scoop)?... or is it an additional intake?

its an additional intake it funnels air up into the slots on the cover on top of the radiator

I cut an opening in my XL grill to hopefully take full advantage of the Big Mouth

A quick observation: this may be true for The Gen 5 Ranger as a whole - if you spend a lot of time above 75 MPH you aren't going to save much gas, even with this accessory.

I think I've found my parameters for when I care the most.

I trimmed the cover to allow more air. Just with the little city driving i did last night the air box temps remained lower than before.

That ought to give you another.5 mpg increase.

Got my Big Mouth yesterday & installed it this morning. Very simple install. Here are some pics taken during the install. I will update everyone on any MPG gain after putting some miles on her. Love the look...hopefully it’s functional too!
