Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Did anybody else order the Keypad with their build and if so how long was the wait between order date and delivery date?

I have the keypad, order date was 9/19/2018 and build date was 2/1/2019. This has been discussed before.

Two problems. First, my new Ranger is going to need a flux capacitor so I can get it from its delivery date to the year 2019. Second, I need to find out how to get back to the year 1990 to retrieve it.

My order paperwork from my dealer with the order number on it also says Priority 20. Is that good or bad. 20 seems a very low priority to me. Anyone else have a different number?

Sounds like you have a dealer stock order, not a retail order. 20 is the highest priority for stock orders. 99 is the lowest.

If mine is delivered as estimated, I'm looking at around 16 weeks as well - about double what I've waited for an order in the past. I, too am hopeful the overtime will get it done sooner than planned. 16 weeks is a long time to wait...

I put $1000 down on Sept 10th. My truck is scheduled for delivery on 3/3 - almost 6 months.....

I am guessing that none of us will find a good reliable pattern to gauge why each of our particular Rangers have varying lengths from order, to build and finally delivery. From what I have observed here and on the Blue Oval forums, it seems there have been a lot of issues related to certain component availability, quality control, weather and other factors that have made this process illogical.

Spent 10 years at the dealership level and ordered all our Ford inventory. Never saw it quite this crazy for a new model introduction. Maybe back in 1997 when they introduced the Expedition it was a little similar...lol! If you have any type of build date, I would be happy. I started bugging my local dealer general manager a year ago. He gave me his first allocation in Oct. My truck is getting built 3/11. I am just happy it's scheduled.

I did, ordered Nov. 13 and got a delivery date today of Mar. 22.

EXCITED. JUST CHECKED AND IT SAYS AWAITING SHIPMENT. DEALER SAYS IT COULD BE A COUPLE WEEKS.

Mine has been in transit for almost 3 weeks and as of this am, appears to be still there. Ford rep says not a Ford issue (once it leaves plant, they mark it as in transport) but a rail/transport issue. Sooner or later, we will all get ours.

What’s the difference between retail order and dealer stock order. I had to order my truck to get all the options I wanted because the truck at the dealer was wrong color for me and had options I didn’t want.

Dealer stock is considered "unsold", while retail is "sold". It's not a huge distinction but a dealer stock order can't be tracked using the tracking website.

I will have to see what happens once I get a VIN#. I’m guessing it might be a month or more before I can get a VIN.
