Mine is mounted below the cab height and I haven't noticed any MPG hit around town or on the highway.Curious what kind of MPG hit those of you with rooftop tents took? Also curious what the difference is between those with bed mounted tents that are flush with the roof.
Did you give up on the Prinsu?Mine is mounted below the cab height and I haven't noticed any MPG hit around town or on the highway.
How is your RTT attached to the cover ?Mine is mounted below the cab height and I haven't noticed any MPG hit around town or on the highway.
How did you mount the bars to your diamondback cover? I’m looking to do this same setup. Thanks!Mine is mounted below the cab height and I haven't noticed any MPG hit around town or on the highway.
Haven't given up on the prinsu yet. I worked with them a week ago to determine the issue, but they needed to send me more hardware which just showed up friday, and I was camping this weekend so couldn't get it installed. I will tackle it sometime this week and report back to everyoneDid you give up on the Prinsu?
I hardly notice it anymore. I can see out from under the tent if I was worried about a Tree or car riding my butt. However, the amount of time backing up and the inclusion of a camera along with not really needing to see cars that are far behind haven’t caused me to regret the placement. The MPG hit for putting the tent up in the airstream would be a much worse trade off Imo.How do you find driving without the rear visibility? Did you get used to it?
is that the prinsu? what's cost on thatHow do you find driving without the rear visibility? Did you get used to it?
I checked out the link to how you made you’re own rack but I would really like to know how the Roofnest is mounted to the rack you made. It doesn’t look like there’s much room for the mounting hardware.Mine is mounted below the cab height and I haven't noticed any MPG hit around town or on the highway.
What wheels are those? They look greatIt's hard to weight just the impact of RTT since I have so many other mods that added to net MPG impact...ie, lift, larger tires (285/70-17), wider track (+6"), additional weight (1000lbs), etc...that said, I'm averging 18 city and 19-20 highway...gotta pay to play...I can see under the RTT through rear view mirror with this mid height set up...
