HI Folks,

My Ranger participated in my plumbing nightmare.... I was replacing my laundry plastic tub which looked terrible due to my Artist wife washing her latex paint brushes. 15 year of this resulted in a really beyond cleaning...Costo offered a stainless utility sink...So for $50 off I got this new sink...Then the fun began. Sink was of the same size but the drain was at the back of the old plastic sink and in the middle of the new sink. Some assembly required but got the new sink assembled with ease. Removed the old sink after turning off the water and disconnecting the the drain. Water was a straight install, but the drain was so cobbled by the plumbing contractor when the house was built it was impossible to simply rehook it up. So...measure, head to the Hardware Store...no help but I did not need it. Bought the repair kit that would fit the bill but not to be the case. Attachment was reverse of my P trap....sheesh....back to the store in my trusty Ranger. Still no help and realized that some person misplaced the kit I needed in the wrong place. Back home...with new kit in hand and making the same pipe cuts I installed only to find the drain was again leak city. CRAP! So I had to dismantle the attachment to the new sink and found that the initial install 15 years ago by the POS plumbing company resulted in the attachment fitting cross threaded. So now, hop back into the ranger for trip number three to the hardware store. Purchase a tail piece and new attachment nut with seal...Measure and find I need to cut square but how...so to the shop. Make a fixture out of scrap lumber to allow a straight cut on the bandsaw. Assemble the pieces...Test! No Leaks!!! Yea!

The installation plumbers are wished a pox.! Little Ranger was happy to support the trips, but enough is a enough!

Phil, that sink you replaced is the exact one we have except it has no legs (attached to the wall). I feel your pain - my plumbing projects almost always result in three trips to the hardware store! The upside is you have an excuse for more Ranger trips.

I always say a good plumbing project is one in which you only have to make TWO trips to the store. I usually have three. I think once, I had to make six trips..... I really hate plumbing!!!!

Phil, the sink looks beautiful!

Hate plumbing. Had the same prob as you, same sink. I decided to clean it good and paint it inside and out with Krylon.... Looked better than new and matched the decor....

Nice job on the sink Phil! :like:

I gave up on plumbing and electrical stuff a long tome ago. It was always 4-5 trips back to the store and hours of aggravation. It was just easier to go to work and do a job I know how to do and pay someone else for these tasks. Nothing worse than going through all this and turning the water back on and finding out it still leaks. :explode:

I got the correct Dr Colorchip for my Ingot silver buddy. My 2019 Lariat came from a 9 month stint at Enterprise Rental. It was short, it took a few niches and dings, but saved me over $10k. Now working to fix the horrible touch up job done by their people. I think they were paid by the “spot” because half of the touch-ups they did, when removed show no chips or dings. But I shouldn’t be surprised they were not even close on the color match.

Removed their touch up job and the paint was perfect under it. Must be paid by the spot..

Their bad touch up paint job above...it will take multiple layers but at least it is the same color now.

The front license plate holder rubbed spots so bad they will have to stay. I tried, but no good.

Hi Folks,

My Ranger got the day off after chasing to the hardware store several times for Plumbing parts and the tomorrow hauling and installing a new 4' long bathroom vanity at my buddy's rental house. The remediation work is now done. Prior tenet died but was not found for 2½ weeks. Impossible to get the smell out of the vanity so we had to bust it up and haul the pieces to the transfer station.

The Ranger is quite excited to be used as a truck tomorrow.
