I think those off topic threads disappeared???
oh yeah, about the time Sid got the axe, the thread disappeared. It started off kinda funny, but went downhill from there, and it wasn't even that high of a bar.

if my posts the last day have been removed because they were "political", thats a major stretch and the Mod who chose to follow through with the deletes is using a really fuzzy line to make that determination. that in itself is offensive and I wish to report that mod for playing devils advocate.
unfortunately, its a blackhole where they hide and you dont generally know which one pulled the trigger. so by association, they're all the same sheep.
Makes me wonder if they have some other problem with you.

wouldnt doubt it to be honest
i've said it before though, i never block, ban, or ignore anyone, as i feel everyone has an opinion, and a right to express it.
in the end, it's up to me to react to it, or not.
unfortunately, there are those that dont agree and would rather muzzle anyone they dont get that warm fuzzy feeling with.
I block people on Facebook groups, but only when they provide nothing positive to the group. Some people have a sarcastic/funny/mean comment for everything and add nothing at all.

You're definitely a certain cup of tea. haha Definitely someone I hardly ever agree with and likely would never spend time with in the real world, but that doesn't mean I'm going to block you or request to have your posts deleted (unless you, or anyone, went really crazy and trying to organize actual illegal activities or something haha). In the end, it's just words on a screen about a truck (or semi related topic), that's hardly what matters the most or should be taken, or expected to be taken, very seriously.

Well on the bright side, things are getting a little less repetitive than the discussions about the merits of tailgate dampers (dampeners?) and bed steps.

So how big of a tire can put on my Range without a lift? With a 2" lift? With a 3" lift? :bandit:

Now your next arguable project is to replace that horrendously long 8" antenna with a much more aesthetic 5.1625" long one!!?

You forgot the most important one...Tailgate Damper. :lipssealed: ?
How did we get to post 13 without this mentioned?

We need at least 1 post per week discussing if this is a good mod, then we get maybe 20-30 good jokes, then 2-3 angry people and the thread gets shut down. Is that about how it goes?

Honestly, it does stink with the repetition, but if you come down to harsh on new users about it you'll find they won't stick around. The best bet is to do a search yourself and say
I never advise other users to use a forum search. Rather I advise them to use google search on the forum. Forum built in search engines have always completely sucked ass and always will. Use google with site:ranger5g.com at the end of the search string and get much more useful results. Here's some examples.

fake engine noise comes through my subwoofer amplifier site:ranger5g.com

tailgate damper takes too long so I do the do the Elvis Lightning Bolt pose site:ranger5g.com

OMG I can't unsee kevarmy79 site:ranger5g.com

:D

There’s definitely an early and established kind of “main” group on this forum. I find that because of that, I take for granted that I’ve seen every single early thread to come across. With that, I also find myself getting initially frustrated when I see a repetitive thread until I realize and acknowledge the above. It’s bound to happen, and it is what it is.
Side note, I still love this damn truck.
