Another vote for ventilated or air conditioned seats.

Towing mirrors.

A-pillar handle on driver side for ingress/egress.

Hmmm...most of what I wish I had on my truck has been said already but...here I go:

Diesel option ....because 30+mpg out of a 4x4 truck would be awesome
6-speed manual transmission, because I am caveman
60-40 rear bench (that folds flat)
heated frickin' side view mirrors (my last car had them and they are key where I live)
roll up/down window option on the app
As for wanting a V-6 on this truck...I dunno, man...that 2.3 ecobeast is a BEAST (I had to merge on to the highway quick today so I gave it some and ho-lee-$hit-man!...it pinned me back on my seat)
there..my 2 cents

I have no where to put my elbows. I lean into corners, like driving my Kawasaki. Always correcting when steering. Thin metal or aluminum or whatever it's made of. Tailgate weighs like 4lbs dampener not needed. Stock tires are like inner tubes. Key wobbles in ignition so chinsy. Steering wheel is slippery. On off start. 21.8 mpg. No heated mirrors on a loaded XLT FX4 for 40k$.
Even with these flaws I really like it sonfar

I'm confused on what you trying to say? Yes, I know I don't have an Auto Climate Control.

What I am saying, when the manual says, "it uses the setting it set to when I turned the truck off". When I have it turned off, it still heats or cools when I remote start it, and then when I put the keys in , it turns off or go to what I had.
Then I'm confused on what you're complaining about. That's the way it's supposed to work.

My personal wishlist:

  • Lay-flat back seats
  • Full roll down/Sport Trac style back window
  • Option to turn auto start/stop off permanently with the button
  • Auto folding mirrors
  • Paddle shifters for Sport Mode
  • Tailgate step
  • Hidden storage on the bed similar to the Honda Ridgeline
  • Power outlet in the bed

I was really hoping to see a Platinum (Titanium?,Limited?) edition that would include things like the auto up/down windows on both sides of the truck. Plus, full power seats with memory and cooling on both front seats (or memory on driver side at least). Would also really love power extendable towing mirrors and a factory installed brake controller. Would also like to see (if it’s possible) an adaptive cruise sensor relocate option so a winch could be installed without losing the adaptive cruise capability - I never experienced adaptive cruise control before the Ranger and have since found it really nice. Maybe some factory roof racks too. And how about a 2.7l eco boost twin turbo option ? ?!
I'll bet you money that Lincoln comes out with a rebadged ranger and McCounneghey driving around his ranch in Texas in the pre-dawn hours drinking hand made Colombian coffee that his wife created for him as the fog breaks on a tree line and deer fleet into the distance. He reaches into the back and hauls out camera gear and steps out of the Lincoln Hemisphere Travler puts his pack on his back and disappears into the mist.

I agree with most everything listed here but the introduction of the 2020 Ranger with all the discontenting and the repackaging of options shows us in no uncertain terms that this gen Ranger is just a stop gap effort. I love my Ranger and I wouldn't trade her for anything else but I am very disappointed with Ford on there obvious Red Headed Step Child treatment of this very good Ranger.

You're a little early on this complaint. I had my last Ranger for 10 years and two before that. Ford updated only what was required by law and carried on with the same basic truck. It did not die because the market died, it died because Ford let it die. We'll have to wait to see if they learned anything.

I bought the Ranger for trail and huntin, so I didn't want all the fancy stuff alot of others desire and to each his own. But the most painful missing option for me is the manual transmission, I get the other upgrades that have just come with time, like electric window switch, but the death of the stick shift has been a hard one to accept..... And when you view Ford as Americas traditional truck brand, it makes it even more bitter ?

Towing mirrors, HVAC controls like 150’s, or Superdutys, steering wheel adaptive cruise controls, arranged the same as the larger trucks, and built in brake controller!

Super crew with 6 1/2 foot bed, plus head lights on when unlock for approaching at night not parking lites, and stake pockets too so I can put my own lumber racks on for cheap to haul something like wood in it, or whatever I want to haul that is taller than the bed rails , it is a pickup truck after all and it is made to haul things isn't.
