I've now taken my Ranger in twice for noisy brakes, once you apply a small amount of pressure they start to make a metal to metal sound. This was reported during first week of July and the tech said it would go away. Took it back in a couple months later and apparently one of the front rotors was out of spec. They resurfaced and put back together, was quiet for a week. I called and returned today to service for same noise and found out that they never replaced the pads. I was a bit upset that they didn't replace them. So now having to wait on new bolts and pads. Anyone else dealt with noisy brakes.

I plan on bringing my truck to Ford on Monday for my rear brakes. When in traffic and slowing down to around 5 mph, it has a very loud and embarrassing squeek.
Mine did this for about a week or so under light pedal pressure. Seemed to be a result of the weather quickly changing as it's now gone.

The dealer completely replaced both front rotors and pads this time around, and the noise hasn't returned. This took a total of 4 trips to the dealer though, I had two trips that they inspected and had to order parts, and two trips where they actually did the work. The last time in the service department and the Tech said it was best to replace both rotors and pads and wasn't to concerned any more about Fords systematic book approach to the warranty.

Mine started doing the exact same thing.
Guessing its because of the recent crazy NJ weather patterns.

Going to give it a few more days before I call for a service check.

**Update

I think it's weather related.
Temps in NJ were in the upper 60s and the brake noise hasn't happened in a few days.

Pretty strange but I'm not complaining :)

Oh shit. Taking mine in Monday. Brakes get squeaky after they heat up. Wonder how many times this will take to fix.

Seems the going amount of trips is 3 to 5 times, mine was dealer never had the parts and had to make additional appointments. A few months into the last repairs and it's been quiet

I had my rear brakes squeaking almost from the time I drove it off the lot. But only once they warmed up. They resurfaced the rotors and replaced the pads in the rear.

It went away for a few weeks and now it's doing it again when they're cold, apparently rear brakes are on national backorder so I'm waiting for parts and it sounds like they're doing pads again and just replacing the rotors.

Thanks for the update. I feel like there solution will be a piece meal ordeal with multiple visits. Wouldn’t mind just buying some better aftermarket brakes and rotors to stiffen up the breaks. Not sure if they have any on the after market.
