Hi all.
New to the forum but not to forums.
Picked up a brand new 2019 Ranger a week ago. Had a nice Escape Titanium 4WD but found I really needed a truck after buying my house.
So.. 2019 Ranger Supercrew, Lariat, Shadow Black ext with Ebony int, 501A (had to have the B&O audio!), Sport Package, Tow Package, Premium wheels (wouldn't have chosen them but after seeing them irl I'm pretty happy with them), RWD with locking differential.
So far I'm really happy with the truck. That torque!
Looking forward to hanging on to this one for a while so I expect I'll be here a good bit.

Welcome to the forum - I agree with you - I probably wouldn't have chosen the wheels, but they look better in person than they do in photos. For some reason, they look really flat in pictures. I actually really like the look of STX/XLT wheels (one up from the steelies).

And yes, the torque! Gotta love it!

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the truck world with my 2019 Ranger XL. I’ve been a Mustang guy for the last 22 years and even a few years before that, so this is a shift! I have a tough commute and my last Mustang GT was totaled by someone going about 60 mph at impact as I was slowing down for traffic. (The Mustang’s 5 star crash ratings are well-deserved.). My wife and I went back and forth between the Mustang and Ranger as the replacement, and we eventually got a good deal on this Ranger.

I’m impressed with this power train. We’re all happy, especially our dog!

Running boards should arrive today. I’m already learning a lot on this site! Thanks for all the information!!

Hi I'm Cam from Australia, this my 2015 Australian PX1 Ranger XLT. It has the Ford Puma 3.2 litre 5 cylinder diesel and the 6R80 6 speed auto. Mine has currently traveled 80,000 Km and as you can see I have an ARB bar, snorkel, and ARB Ascent canopy. This model Ranger was developed in Australia for local conditions and has been available here since 2011, later sold all over the world - excepting the USA and Canada, where I suspect Ford thought it might steal F150 sales. The later local PX2's and 3's have almost the same front as your model.

First time pickup owner here! I have wanted one for a while and had the opportunity so I took it. Had it a little over a month now. I've been lurking around the forum reading up on the Ranger before I bought it and have learned a lot of new things about it here since. Love that the engine came out of Cleveland and that is was assembled in Michigan.
Looking forward to having it many years, making it my own and putting it to work.

Wow, very nice. I think this is the first silver paint with the magnetic rim combo I've seen.

Touché - seems like my mods list in my signature block is expanding rapidly. So far I have limited myself primarily to protection related mods. The bigger performance mods like exhaust and tune will be coming but I'd like a topper and Bed Rug before getting into that.

A current-gen Tacoma was the natural successor but after having spent some time in a Ranger and doing lots of back to back comparisons the Ford was the clear winner for most of what is important to me. Still think the Tacoma is a great truck and there are some things they nail, but the lore of the Tacoma can only go so far. For day to day living, comfort, and overall capability the Ranger won me over, so here I am with a 2019 XLT FX4 and pretty happy with my choice!

Welcome,nice looking Ranger. There's quite a few of us here that came over from our 3rd gen Tacoma's and we've been very happy with our Rangers. The 1st & 2nd gen Tacoma's were really good trucks but they just blew it with the whole drivetrain and the 3rd gen. That along with the seating position and the outdated interior/technology was an easy decision to purchase the Ranger. One word of caution,even if you're not planning on doing any mods you will be by the time you're finished reading through this forum.

haha on the mods, yeah I bet! Planning on doing some things to the truck over the next little bit here. Agree on the Tacomas. I think the ride quality out of the box is slightly better than the FX4 tuning which is quite soft, but that’s easily remedied and I find the Ranger comfortable just a bit soft in the suspension. I actually didn’t feel the seating position was uncomfortable in the Tacoma until you do a back to back with the Ranger, night and day. But the Tacoma was doable for me. What won though for me on the Ranger is the powertrain combo, the payload is significantly better, and the connectivity technology is worlds better. Also, I fee the underside of the Ranger is better protected for trail duty out of the box. On top of that the passenger side floor on the Taco rises up way too soon, so with a child seat behind the passenger it’s a deal breaker on a long trip. In the Ranger there’s plenty of legroom to stretch out. These are things paper specs don’t necessarily make clear.

Got my new Ranger one month ago... happy to be part of the group; learning a lot about mods, etc. Previous ride was a 2006 F-150 (lots to be said for that 5.4 Triton engine) that I really loved... 160,000 miles and 14 years with literally no problems... but it was time for something new, lighter, more fuel efficient, but still able to haul the boat ;-)

I am adding a new tool box to bed... it is getting powder coated right now.... color will match the Ford bed liner. Going with the black metal RANGER letters on tailgate. Slowly getting it to where I like it.
