You can just drill holes in the liner as opposed to cutting out a piece. That's what I did.
Then I did not use the plastic washers as the liner itself took that space.
Actually made the liner fit better on the sides as it was gapping slightly there.

Yes, it should have been a standard option on a Lariat, but it wasn't, so...
Also should have a power rear window and a moon roof option, but it doesn't. ~shrug~

Footwell lighting.. I thought I didn't have it but found it was because I was looking in the day time. Come night and there they were. That was nice.
I had to go get a deep well socket but I used a 3/8 drive ratchet.
Lubing the threads in advance did the trick, per a previous suggestion back in this thread.
WD-40 or your preference of penetrating lube. Maxima MPPL Multi-Purpose Penetrant Lube is what I had on hand.

I did fail to snap a before picture prior to painting the pipe but I did get some pre and post tip install.
