I know trucks aren’t the most aero or designed for vehicle comfort but have you noticed that the cabin is quiet yet you can hear the wind outside?

I have been in cars that the wind noise got so bad you had to blast the radio!

Also I’ve noticed how “bumpy” yet “smooth” it rides. Fascinating how different a body on frame is different than a unibody.

Wind noise don't always mean door gasket and sealing problems. Because of the shape of things, there is a lot of turbulence outside that cause most of the wind noise. I'm more annoyed at times by road noise due to Louisiana's poor road quality.

Interesting you say that because I swore the first time I took it on the highway I swore I could hear wind swirling around in the bed.

It's probably the vent at the rear of the cab you're hearing

my Ranger is WAY quieter in the cabin while driving than my wife's Subaru. wind noise, road noise, engine noise. the Ranger is quieter on all fronts. it also rides better. a lot of people malign the OEM suspension (mine is the regular 4x4, so not as badly maligned as the OEM FX4 suspension), but I find it smoother than the subie.

Mine had some wind noise when I first got it but the windshield recall took care of most of it. Seems to be road noise that comes through the rear doors left.

Mine is RWD with an electronic locking rear and tow package (if that means anything regarding drive ability).
I definitely didn’t buy it for a Cadillac ride…it’s going to be used for fitness adventures.
Still, I have no reservations so far about my purchase! ?

That's funny because my wife's new Subaru forester Touring is definitely quieter then my Ranger. The boxer can make extra noise when you stomp on it but very little road noise.

Awesome on how you feel about your Ranger. I love it too and find it plenty comfortable for our adventures (and, of course, my dump-run fetish). =D

Had a Forester Touring which was sold to get the truck and it was way noisier than my wife's Subaru Outback. The truck beats both for quietness.

Very quiet inside, hear no wind at all. Even with open tonneau cover no noise.
Also it’s really comfy.
Only thing, if windows closed, I need to pull the door with strength to get it closed. So I open a window a little to get air moving a bit and the door closes easily.

That sure is a nice looking Ranger (I absolutely love your tonneau) and I also love that you photograph it in pretty places.

That orange foliage is gorgeous!

Not mine. My wife hates all the background road noise in the call when I call her from the Ranger and hears none when I call from the Forester. Was your Forester a 2022?
