Hello all,

I guess California emissions gave a DCS warning on my truck. It says “cores must be returned in original packaging, check state registration, VIN and may be eligible for California emission wty.

Does this mean the dealers know but don’t care? I mean I purposely left it on the mods because I was lazy. Tire pressure for hankooks 30 psi set by them, not bad.

My guess is it threw an emissions warning and they supposed to let me know to return it to stock components. They said nothing though, just gave me the papers to pay for.

Are you suspecting that there may have been mods previously installed on the truck prior to your ownership? Or do you have mods that modified your emissions compliance like a tune or a catless downpipe?
Latter. Mods that modified emissions. Charge pipes and BOV. Everything else is compliant.

A BOV should not do anything to emissions should it? I understand the charge pipe but not the bov.

From my understanding it is illegal in California because BOV to atmosphere will vent out additional fumes? At least the disclaimer aren’t supposed to ship to California.

I see your point because its Cali and they suck on emissions stuff, just don't let them find the dampener, they'll probably impound your truck.
I wonder if a Catch Can would be on there hit list?

I'm curious why you would make mods to your emissions when you know how strict California is?
For fun. The tune, the cat back, and CAI is CARB approved. Charge pipe and BOV is not. Worst case I figured I could remove those two and re install stock within a couple hours. Charge pipes would be harder to tell to the unknown eye, the BOV is removable in a minute.

I believe the catch can is allowed.
