I've been saying it for years, but I really think Chevy needs to fire their styling department... each iteration of their products seems to get busier looking...Not a fan.

Also really dislike the lack of proper front bumpers on these new trucks. Don't like the idea of having to hack up the front bumper should you go aftermarket, and hell last Chevy I worked on with my buddy required removal of the whole front fascia to get to the headlights so...

I really like the look of these and for 48ish for a zr2 isn’t bad. I can’t wait to see some true reviews once they are out.

We also have to remove a lot to swap headlights also, it is a 2 hour job trying to not snap a tab the first go around.

If my accident didn't get me into a new Tremor this was very high on my list. I like what they've done with it and they have several option that you just can't get from Ford like cooled seats and memory seats. The reviews on the HO engine have been good so far and they've been using this in the Silverado since 2019 so it's somewhat proven.

They're having their share of issues with the rollout though. First there was a long delay waiting for the EPA numbers to come out and now there's thousands parked needing a reflash to the computer. It looks like they're starting to ship now and we should start seeing more on the streets in the coming months.

Oh we're doing Yugo jokes now? Ok...

What do you call a Yugo station wagon?
A Wego.

How do you double the resale value of a Yugo?
Fill the tank.

I have had alot of interest in this release due to the styling and as others have mentioned, some options you cannot get in other trucks. I am not an off-roader like many here so I would never buy a ZR2, my trucks only see light dirt roads / trail use in my fishing adventures so I don't need a top of the line off-roader. With that said...........

My local GMC dealer has a White AT4 on their lot that I checked out today. I like the beefy look of the front end and the stance of the truck, no huge rake or even leveling necessary. The bed seemed small but I measured it, roughly 4'-10" x 4'-10", similar to the Ranger. I liked the styling of the interior but it wasn't as luxurious looking as I thought it would be. It would be an improvement over my XLT 302A though. It looked to have about the same room as the Ranger but there is one thing that oddly bother me about it, it looks like a Tacoma from the side. In pictures, you always get angles but in person, from the side, it really does look like a Tacoma.

The reason I say oddly, I've owned 3 Tacomas in the past so you would think I would be a fan? Maybe I just view that styling as old and outdated now? I'll never say never, I like shiny new things but It would have to be a deal where stars align.......and with this worsening economy, it could happen?

Our local Chevrolet dealer is starting to get some Colorados in stock.

Since "ADM" or "Market Adjustment" are bad words now, every single one of them comes with a $5000 "Colorado Upfit" package.

What does my $5k get me?

From their site...

CUSTOM COLORADO PKG - BLACK 20" WHEELS, UPGRADED ALL TERRAIN TIRES, & SPRAY IN BED LINER.

Only $5k for all of that? What a deal!!!

While a rip off it's still a better deal than what they had on my '19 when I bought it. A $3,000 "Peoria Ford Performance Package" which consist of:

Nitrogen
Clear door edge guards
Window tint
Drop in bed liner
Wheel locks
Pin stripping

Needless to say I told them to take it off as there was no way I'd pay for any of that junk on it. At least back then you could still negotiate price since they had a lot full of Rangers everywhere.

My brother beat both of you. They tacked on a "package" that included:
  • "Offroad" Wheels and tires
  • Lift kit
All for the great deal of $9,995! I priced out the stuff and even being EXTREMELY generous, including labor, it was at best a $3,500 package. I will never step foot in that dealer again....

the way prices are these days i bet getting one under 35k would be tough. or it would be the lowest of the low no options. ehh ill pass.
Not sure if you’re talking about the ranger here or the colorado but people really need to start looking at base model trim levels more often. Feel like people think the guy driving an XL is roughing it with crank windows and no power options. It’s 2023…the 2024 XLs come standard cruise, power mirrors, windows, locks, keyless entry, 10ā€ screen, list goes on. Even remote start comes standard via ford’s app. Is it worth 10-20k to sit in leather, have an inch bigger diameter wheels and have your steering wheel heated on your commute?

If you don't care about all the creature comforts and some of the safety options the XL is a great truck. Especially if you're going to mod it out for off roading. It's a good starting point to add all the stuff you want like larger tires, lifts etc and still end up with a reasonable priced truck.

Iā€˜m on my 4th XLT truck and that’s the sweet spot for me. I don’t care about leather seating or most of the other options that only come with Lariat or above. The only option that I wish was available is LED headlights. Hopefully that will eventually become standard on all vehicles.

But what would the narcissists do without the top trim versions?

It’s rampant on the Jeep forums. If you don’t have a Rubicon, you don’t really have a Jeep.

Never mind that most of them probably don’t even know what constitutes the Rubicon package.

Many will believe that the only reason that you don’t have the top trim version is obviously because you just couldn’t afford it.

Agreed. I’m 23 w/ no little ones running around, so safety wasn't even in question when it came to buying a vehicle. Also coming from a ā€˜07 supercharged mustang, probably on the safer side of things now. I’m still of the mindset nothing is safer than eyes always being on the road, feet ready to hit the brake at any moment. That being said the huge brembo’s on the old mustang were definitely an upgrade from the ranger’s. People under rate the ability to stop.

my comment was about the silly prices dealers and some manufactures are sticking consumers with. not one model or options or others. xl trim is fine by me.
