@DanholmesVentura thats exactly the camper I have in mind, though my ordered (not possessed, arggg) truck will be a crew cab FX4. You even got the barn door windows.

You able to keep a thick enough bed and able to close up with bedding in place? I like the OVRLND design over the Project M, straight sided for a queen size bed! Not interested in narrow wedge beds, for two full grown adults. Even my ultra light backpacking tent accommodates 25” wide pads with inches to spare outside us and between us.

Any complaints about your OVRLND? Any extras you wished you’d ordered, or regret any?

What is the MPG hit?

Quick mission up the Stanislaus on Monday.
105° out but the water was ?
Fire bans suck so just LEDs and the moon for ambiance.

Hey Lazynorse, thanks for your note! We are absolutely loving the OvrLnd & think it's a great choice over the Project M and any of the wedges. We got pretty much all the options and are really glad: windows all 4 sides, side hatch, slider window, Barn Doors, 2-way fan, roof rails which hold the solar panel, the solar port, the lift struts (a must), and the extra height for the bedding and headroom (I'm 6'3" and can sit upright in the bed. We bought the 2 1/2 inch mattress from OvrLnd and can keep one or two down sleeping bags + pillow when closed. We also ordered the OVS 270 Nomadic awning and had Jay install it - super great idea. The bed is awesome with plenty of room. Your Crew cab will be a bit tighter in bed space, but with the bed closed you will be fine. We don't regret any of the options we bought - it's way better to have Jay build them in than to try to put them in later. I've talked to folks that had wished they'd added windows.

Mileage is down maybe 2-4 mpgs. Can't say for sure, cuz I went straight to Flag for install 2 days after truck delivery. Just finished a 1400 mile trip - mixed highway, dirt, altitude, city and rural at 20.6 mpg, which is super. Kept it at speed limit - wind and heavy foot can take it down to 16-17. I'm going to keep to a minimum build out - insulated and paneled the sides, will be building storage benches over the wheel wells, fridge and kitchen box fit up front. I can access the fridge from the side hatch so no need for a slide out.

Completely loving both the Ranger and the Ovrlnd! You will too!
