Does your driveway count as an epic camp site? ;)
Apparently it does if his wife refuses to participate.
Take your victories where you find them.

Me - Honey, I'm thinking leaving friday for 3 nights of camping.

Wifey - Shake your head, I'm not camping unless there's a hotel and concierge.

Me - See you Monday :)

This is just the staging area...the site is down by the forest...

I wish I lived in the desert...that's where the epic are at...all forest here...
All my best spots are in the bush, beside a lake, much like post #8 @Stevedbvik1. At first glance I assumed that was Canada, but it's Michigan, which is similar geography. I've never been able to camp in the desert, but it was part of my retirement plan, to do a multi-month trip through S. USA like Dave just did (without the hotels). I'm retired now, have a great vehicle to do it, but I'm a dirty unvaxxed heathen and can't legally drive across the border now.

Dirty unvaxxed heathens are welcome in ID, sneak across the border there.
