That's what I was thinking. I have another vehicle with a 110 outlet and it only operates when the engine is running.
I did some work and used it to power my charger for my cordless drill. I only had to turn on the accessory power - it did turn off after 30 mins or so, but did charge up my battery while I was working. I just hit the button again to start another 30 mins.

Everytime i forgot to press the "Autostop off" button and the truck turns off i scream followed by many curse words. I found just leaving the front defrost on works if i can remember to leave it set that way

Lol I use to do the same. I'd pull out of my driveway and get to the end of the street and it would shut down,I'd be like :devil: Bought one of these and it was the best $5.00 I've ever spent. If you don't like the light shinning at night just spray some black paint on the front to black it out.

The power shuts off after a couple minutes.
Yeah, the system gives you about fifteen minutes of full accessory power to listen to music, use lights, etc. then cuts off abruptly. My understanding is that it can be adjusted to last longer, but I would not want to do so. So with the stock configuration, not to worry about draining the system....

I timed the Light in the 110 outlet and it was 2 minutes

I didnt know if everything got shut off. Especially the 110v.
Kinda pointless to leave a cooler of meat n beers in there overnight then huh?
The raccoons are assholes while camping.
Is that why the campsite near me sells cans of raccoon assholes?

At least we have a button and an alternative to defeat that ass! My wife's car has no such defeat possible unless you put the car in manual shift or neutral every time you stop.

turn the defrost on and it won't auto start/stop
A good friend of ours has 2019 Expedition & he has disconnected the additional wire that goes to the negative terminal on the battery which disabled the S/S function. Our Rangers have a similar wire.

I have NOT personally attempted this on our Ranger as I have no problem at all with the push of that button.

Also, you would need to reconnect that wire if/or when you went in for service.

Interesting! The wife's XT5 has a similar connector. Hmnnnn... and it DOESN'T have a defeat switch! (or maybe now it does)
