BDS Uca and the pic is the label off the rim box, Matt @Discount Tire found the wheels for me, special order. He is a TON of help! Went with Wildpeak at3w

Spend the extra $ and use road force balancing and install hub-centric rings. After I did those last 2 things, ive had no vibration at any speed.

Forgot to add that I did the 1st ring on my Bilstein 5100s plus a readylift 2 inch lift. Gave me the clearance, levelling and maintained ride quality on the road. The readylift uses a spacer above and below the strut/ spring.

Yea that spray did, parts store was out of my usual stuff so I tried that stuff blindly. The can is at the landfill now lol. Stuff. Ever dried. I hate that greasy slingy stuff. I like No touch spray or similar. Cleans , dries kinda like satin.

Now those are some slick looking wheels, friend. That is the color I was looking at for the Method wheels I mentioned. If I may ask, what did a set of 4 set you back?

I'm losing my mind (I blame the kids) but I am spacing on what Bilstein's I have up front (see pic). We're at the max lift those will provide. I'll ask the shop about readylift. The issue we run into is a vast majority of items claim 4WD only, not 2WD...which doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense if you think about it. If anything 2WD is going to be less of a pain given we don't have shafts and such to worry about up front. Anyway, with the ARB stuff they ended up giving us a PDF with everything that'll work with 2WD even if it says 4WD on the product. It comes in handy.

Prior to the Bilstein's I had a set of Roughcountry 2.5 inch spacers. Forgive my ignorance but if I had UCA's that would allow more lift couldn't we just put those back on?

I wanna say the wheels where around 200 each maybe a little less, sorry it's been a while lol plus I've been in and out of 3 different hospitals 5 times since then ?. If I got any lift from the UCA set it was minute at best. What the BDS set did was put the ball joints back into a neutral position (like stock) I am pro active, I didn't want the lift etc at the sacrifice of other components down the road. The BDS are beefy, made in Michigan and come with a covered grease fitting at the top under the grey cap

I'm no stranger to purchase amnesia. Even if they are $200 a pop that's not terrible. Although they will get torn up with the terrain we frequent. My poor stock wheels have seen better days.

Ah, I meant that with the "proper" UCA's I could afford more lift up front without other components going sideways. Shop says we are at absolute max currently without swapping those UCA's out.

Those certainly do look beefy. I'm liking the fact they have a grease fitting. Made in Michigan eh? Born and raised there before making my way out West.

Yes, I believe they are a family run business. When I bought them I had several brands to choose from, these had good reviews plus the grease fitting and I got them on sale plus free shipping. I bought them direct from the mfgr. Those rims where a 6 month off and on search, I like a taller sidewall which allowed me to drop down to a 17 inch wheel and knew when we saw them imposed on the truck they where the ones. The center caps screw on, came in black, but when I painted my flares and grill I had leftover magnetic paint and clear coat so I painted the centers and Allen screws. Sorry but I don't have a recent pic of the new paint as of yet.

Here's the deal. I've got Bilstein's up front that give my 2WD Ranger 2.9 inches of lift up there. I'm currently running 265 / 70 / 17's. I actually use my truck offroad and the guys at my local 4WP shop are discouraging me from trying to go any larger to avoid rubbing during full articulation. That said...I'm seeing post after post and tons of pictures of Rangers running up to 285's without serious modification. Sooo what's the real deal? I'm trying to go as large as I can because honestly I think these 265's look rather small. Optical illusion due to longbed config? Who knows. Either way I want MOAR TIRE. What say you, Ranger Gods?

I have a 2.5” rough country leveling kit in front. And have 275/70/17 K02’s. Have no issues at all

Do you even need crash bars with the ARB bumper?

I'd run some Ready lift crash bars and throw on 285s.

My Ranger has Firestone Destination XT's in 285/70-17 on factory wheels and no spacera. I did move the crash bars a little(simply loosened and pushed) and also run the Old Man EMU lift. I only rubbed at full lock. Other then that I was fine.
Do you have a few pictures of your truck on those Firestone X/T's? I Installed Fox 2.0 tuned by ford front and read and Camburg UCA's. I want to leave my stock wheels for now and torn between 275/70/17 and 285/70/17 Firestone X/T's.

Hey all - again thanks so much for the great information here and the fantastic conversation. I'm putting the larger tires on hold. I'm having an Eaton locking diff installed in a couple of weeks so that took my cash money.

For anyone wondering, the rear axle in the Gen 5 rangers is a Dana 44 (m220 variant). The same axle as the Jeep JL. So, if you cannot find parts for a Ranger specifically, Jeep JL will work (we verified this at the shop). Also the same axle as the new Bronco.

Okay folks - sorry been awhile. I finally got 285's installed. Zero rubbing issues. I'll try to snag some better pictures later. So far loving these. Truck sits a tad bit higher of course, and they just look right.
