Okay folks - sorry been awhile. I finally got 285's installed. Zero rubbing issues. I'll try to snag some better pictures later. So far loving these. Truck sits a tad bit higher of course, and they just look right.
Can you clarify the other measurements? 285 is just the width of the tread. I tried to zoom in on the pic and it might say 285/70/R17, but honestly, it doesn't look like it says 285. Kinda looks like an even larger number.

Mostly. They adjusted the pinion angle with some shims, and as the springs have settled with the load it has decreased significantly. I hardly notice it now.

Oh, totally. They are 285/70/17's. Sorry if the picture wasn't clear.

For anyone interested in another angle. If there are any "show me this or that" requests, just holler and I'll make sure I get better lighting / angles. Dunno what folks are interested in seeing.

Awesome, thanks! Definitely looks a lot better on the new rubber!
They do make a big difference. They don't look douche big. I think they look like they fit the truck quite nicely.

Look great. Interested in hearing your experience with performance and gas milage going from 32 to 33 after you drive the new tires in

That looks great!

But since I'm such a nice guy and ALWAYS ready and willing to help someone spend their money, I couldn't help but notice that little ding in front of the rear tire. Maybe from an offroad jaunt?

No worries, I know just the thing to fix you up.

Shrockworks Rock Sliders

Besides, inflation is killing your dollars as we speak so spend 'em while they'll still spend ?

Joking aside, they look great, install easily, and are seriously strong.

I lift the whole side of my truck with them for tire rotations.

Here they are protecting my truck during some extreme wheeling.

gas mileage?! what's that?! In all seriousness, my ranger is uh...thirsty. With the camper and overland load, fuel economy is down the tubes. Next time I drive down to Salem I'll have a gander at my fuel economy and will post it.

 You are quite helpful, my friend. You know, the time to get the rock sliders was perhaps BEFORE I decided to turn too sharp around a rather narrow trail and smoosh my ranger into a tree. *sigh*. That said, my little ones do have trouble getting in and out on their own, and these would be super handy in conjunction with my hi-lift. I think you may have convinced me.

Glad to be of service :sunglasses:

While the Shrockworks work great as a slider, they are kind of narrow for a step.

Not terrible by any means, but I wouldn't mind if they were just a bit wider.

You might want to look around on the site to see if other sliders are wider.
