HAHA!! 'ONLY' $1100, man I have way better things to do with $1100 than buy light housings I don't need, like the 3 month RV trip to Alaska we are taking.... collecting memories.
Its ok, when you.get into some heavy snow storms you.wont be able to see since the LED lights you installed are way to high of a color temperature. Good luck driving it that!!

Maybe, but the thing is... I don't drive in snow storms, and being retired I don't even drive at night much, except going out to shows or dinner and concert, and I don't take the truck for that. You seem to beat on this a lot?

I'm planning on keeping the stock fogs but would like to replace the lows/highs for the main beams.

I did the same on my now-traded Gmc Canyon but from experience, there's not much difference in quality in cheap Vs expensive ones. Even the expensive diode dymanics LEDs (with housing) only lasted a year and burned out. But this was 2 years ago so hopefully they are better brands/bulbs out there now.

Any recs? TIA!
86,000 miles...$140 full hi/low set...still working great...shame it's not available here anymore...

I have Auxito high/low/fogs and Lasfit switchback signals. Nothing but positive things to say about both brands.

Coming from a Colorado ZR2 with halogen projectors that were kinda dim, the halogen reflectors in my Ranger XLT Tremor are actually kinda bright relatively. Instead of changing the headlight bulbs, I've been strategizing on how to use the upfitter switches.

And not everyone has all the money in the world either :) My Auxito bulbs once adjusted are just fine, 1>1, never get flashed and the pattern has very little scatter with a sharp cutoff.
Money? This is a forum that generally involves trucks less than 3 years old that averages like $35-40k per vehicle.

Why change the very acceptable and serviceable stock headlights of you're going to Jerry rig it with budget options?

That "Vato-Zone" rationale is the same stuff I'm used to seeing with a clapped out '93 XJ on Jeep forum, not a borderline new truck.

What's next? How to recut tread into the tires on a $42,000 Lariat to not buy new tires?

LEDs in stock housings are wrong. And I'll keep saying it until someone can tell me otherwise... Not just "I haven't been flashed" or "iT wErKs FeR mE".

You mean 'wrong for you' right? I doubt you set the standard for everyone else. And the stock headlights are, as many have stated, very weak and yellow.

And your drop in LED lights are not designed for any reflector housing. Already a proven fact that drop in led lights do not work as intended. Also my PIAA lights will out perform for drop in LED lights.

You're correct, I don't set the standard... DOT, SAE, FMVSS do.

Until proven otherwise, LEDs are not technically legal for headlights. Especially retrofitting.

Are many laws slow, dumb, and unenforced? Yes.

Also, yellow and yellow/white are what's best for driving for all drivers. That's why any other color is also not legal.

LEDs are like the blue/purple xenon's of 10 years ago. If you want to bedazzle your truck, that's fine.

But messing with headlights can be dangerous and illegal, especially when cutting corners.

Finally ordered the Auxito 12,000 for the high and low beams. There's been so many positive reviews on this forum about how good they are I'm going to give them a try. Tough to beat the price on Amazon also. $74 for both sets.

Auxito 12k in the low's work fine. Have had them for 2 years now and no issues / no complaints. Just avoid the Auxito 16k as they over drive the reflectors terribly.
