WTF is a SoundScreen windshield?

'20 XLT Supercab w/ Sport Package and I have a SoundScreen Windshield. Definitely noticeable to me. My cab is really quiet and I have NOT changed anything to affect road / wind noise like add damping to doors or ceiling. 75+ on the freeway and its crazy quiet.

But is it as effective as a Tailgate Dampener?!

I can confirm the sound screen does not quiet the wife yelling.

My 2019 Lariat has it. It says SoundScreen on the driver's side lower windshield. I don't know what years and trim levels came with it.

My experience, every damn one of them push the non-OEM glass. I never agree and always force “OEM.” Period.
Almost an annoying as car salesmen.

Yes well what do you expect, they probably make next to nothing out of OEM. Sad thing is sometimes the OEM and aftermarket glass come out of the same factory and are equivalent quality but unfortunately, you just don't know when.
