I’m really surprised the law allows windshield tint, I’m in TN. Pretty sure it didn’t use too, advancements in films I assume got the law changed (?).

I have noticed this on some cars and trucks in my area with this, personally I find it rather annoying but each his own.
Visor tint and side tint I already have but I didn’t go real dark on the sides because of night driving, (past experiences) and considering front UV tint.

im 63 and i wouldnt tint my front. i dont drive much at night anyway, but after having lasik about 25 years ago i dont see well in the dark. eagle eyes in broad daylight though
Similar lasik experience here. I can still see good enough to drive at night, much better than I could have expected without lasik. Don't need glasses to qualify for driver license. Daylight vision is awesome. Minor prescription makes night / distance sharp like crazy!

I took a quick snap for you guys to see how little the 80 on the windshield effects visibility. Again the windows on the side are 35. THAT IS MY NEIGHBORS CHEVY.

it's ok, we don't ban people for owning chevy's . . .

only if they lie about it . . .

When I had my Ranger, I had limo tint, which i believe is 5, added over the factory rear tint. The back seat was so dark. At night someone behind you with their high beams on didnt bother you at all.
I also added 30 to my front windows stock tint, which i think is our local legal limit, but added to my stock tint, clearly it was darker than allowed.

Yes, night time vision was hindered. so you had to make better choices as a result.

also depending on state some only care about the windshield and the driver and passenger windows the rear windows normally do not matter. that is how my state works thou

When I lived in Florida I had 35 on my front side windows an didn't like it. It was in Pensacola an there were some rural areas back then an many side streets had very little lighting. I went with the next one up. I don't know for sure what it was but I don't think it's as light as 50. I had a 35% visor on the windshield since it's above line of sight. Ohio must have gotten lax with their tint enforcement. Like 12 years ago my daughter had 35 on her front side windows an got a ticket. Now almost everyone has 35 on theirs an more an more runt 35 on the windshield. When I had to park outside at home I thought about getting the 80 on the windshield but the guy said I'd lose my visor which I like. Now that I keep it in the garage an I'm retired an don't park in the sun at work for 8-12 hours a day I probably won't bother.

They tint guy most people use around here has been doing it full time for about 20 years. He knows the laws an will tell you what's legal an what gets unwanted attention an what's illegal but you probably won't have a problem unless you're driving like a jerk. Your shop should do the same.

cuts out nearly all UV and is 100% legal in all states. . .
Tasca has them for 60 bucks

most states do not allow TINT on the windshield without a doctors note. The UV stuff is clear so it really doesn't count as tint.

yeah as long as you have side mirrors ...
