Good Morning Everyone!

I've got an airbag light on at the moment which seems to be Code 46. From searching around this appears like it's to do with the passenger seatbelt pretensioner? The day before this light came on I moved the passenger seat all the way forward and then all the way back (got mould under the carpet... but that's a whole other issue...), so presume it's connected to this.

Obviously being the Wildtrak, they are heated seats. When I've had a look there seems to be a 'box' for lack of better words which has all of the cables connected. Is the cable for the airbag in this location also and/or is there connectors anywhere else that could be at fault? I need to know which one to unplug/clean/re-connect to see if that fixes the issue.

Many Thanks :)

Update: Have taken apart the connector (box) under the seat and cleaned all the contacts, still no change. Wire has no damage from the seat belt to the box.
Not sure what else could be causing this... Doesn't show up as an error on my OBD2 computer either.

Another update: found the airbag crash sensor in the rear passenger side was smashed (from when I took the interior panels off I presume). I’ve replaced it with a new one however it hasn’t turned off the light. The only difference between the two sensors is the original was a rev4 and the replacement was a rev3 (number in the top right just under the AA of the part number). Would this cause an issue?
Also haven’t put any of the seats back in, both the rear and passenger were removed. Would this cause the light to stay on?

Can someone please help, got the MOT next week and it will fail in its current state.

Wish I could help. Does your computer let you clear the codes? Perhaps if you clear them, the light will stay off since you replaced the part.

Thank you for the reply.
The computer doesn’t even seem to see the code, be it a current or saved code. Which is weird as it’s obviously there every time I start the vehicle.
After some more searching code 46 is related to the drivers side not the passengers side.Have taken the seat out and put it back in but haven’t cleaned the contacts. Will give that a go tomorrow and see if it helps
