I need to replace my air bag module. What options do I have. It is a KB3T unit now, will a JB3T work? I have a 2019 XLT if that matters.

Also, what's the difference in the last 2 letters? BD BE etc?

Can I buy a used one an program it with Forscan?

you're right. HOwever, it didn't explain the BD/BE differences or if a JB3T module would work.

eBay had the exact part number that you needed. I would only get the same part number that is in your truck.

If you go to the various Ford parts sites, such as OEM Ford Parts Direct, and search via Make & Model or by VIN # It only produces (1ea) PN: KB3Z-14B321-B and that number crosses over to the production PN you have installed.
the 14B321 is the (Base) PN and the rest of the number is for varied vehicles that it is installed in (ex: F-150, Explorer, Mustang)

So if purchasing used, it must have the same PN on the tag that you have, if buying (New) it must be the KB3Z number above.
To verify this provided information is correct, you may call a local dealership (parts) department and they will ask for your VIN#.

I do not know why they produce 2 separate part numbers for the same part and make it confusing.
I know they call the KB3T number a (service part number)

Sensor Assy - Air Bag.

Part Number: KB3Z-14B321-B
Supersession(s): KB3T-14B321-BD; KB3T14B321BD; KB3Z14B321B
