Is the inside plastic as well?

I envision small rocks and dirt accumulating and doing as much if not more damage than pinstriping.

Ask @DukeCanBuildit what it looked like under the flares he removed.

I don't like those hard plastic rocker covers for the same reason.

Drive it, enjoy it. Clean it up when you can and don't sweat the small stuff I say.

This would be AWESOME - and I could get a color other than white for the narrow, brushy Forest Service roads I drive....
That’s $667.59 USD. ? They should fit our trucks for what they are. Shipping can’t be all that bad as they are plastic.

Doug’s right…with things like this, I think you’re really just trading one set of scratches for another.

I expected it with fender flares and didn’t expect to be removing them. The rubber piping on them does a number on the paint, that’s for sure. There was a fair amount of dust under them and the scratches left behind are deep and wide. Shit doesn’t always buff out. :(

Oh, and no amount of 303 Graphene Detail Spray is going to save it. ?

Although, if you’re looking for a free topo paint scheme, those might do it.

I would talk to some body guys about that. Man that’s a lot of clear coat grit blasted away. I’m wondering if they might have something now that’s applied and fills that so it can be buffed out after and blended. Let us know how it goes.

If they were "made" in america, it would be like majority of products on the market today; Imported from china and have underpaid people slap a "Made in the USA" sticker on it then sell it with a markup.

If I could afford it, I'd go with camo vinyl wrap like the one "Last line of Defense" put on his Taco...protects and keeps the paint pristine...

I would suggest the clear 3M paint protector adhered to the paint across all contact points to prevent that. I would rather see 1/8th of clear tape at the edges than that damage if I removed the part later.

As for that kit fitting our NA Ranger, I would be most concerned about the attachment points on the wheel arch trim and the area around the taillights as I think that is a little different from the ROW Rangers.

Companies have been doing that for decades. Back in the late 80's Wal-Mart got caught with the "Made In The USA" promotion where it ended up being the box that was imprinted with that slogan was indeed , Made in the USA. The contents , not so much. Today when you see a Made in the USA sticker you have to wonder , is it only the sticker that was made here?

Agreed John - some PPF would be wise for anyone considering flares or something like this. I‘ve done what I can so far with my buffer and will have a paint correction pro advise me on what remains. If it can be buffed out, great. If not, the flares might go back on.

You raise a good point about how these skins attach. ?

No No, they have to be slicker than that to not get sued.

In font size 30 on the box it will say "USA", usually accompanied by flag artwork, and above that in font size 8 will be "Assembled in the"

Next time you see any retailed box item and the big USA logo catches your eye, take a careful look at it.

This shit exists for the same reason commercials can get away with putting the fine print at the bottom of an advertisement in a font size even on a 75" TV that no reasonable human being can read. That and it is three paragraphs long and it only remains on screen for 5 seconds.

The advertising sector is full of a bunch of dirt bag predators.

Honestly, when I see that sticker/logo I assume they mean "This box was printed in USA" lmao.

I used to work for ravin crossbows. What I called the gucci of hunting cross-bows.
The only thing that was made by the people were part of the frame rail. The rest of the parts were sourced and CNCed out of china. They also own and make another brand that sells for 70% cheaper than "Ravin".

Anytime someone says "'Murciah" and wants to blow $2,000+ on a hunting crossbow that will fail within 6 months I just laugh.

There was a guy in the US making these, but magnets. Only problem is, aluminum fenders on 2021.5 and earlier models. I read a TSB that said in 2021.5 (1/2 year change) the fenders were moved from aluminum to steel. The magnets wouldn't stick to my fenders.

As for the item listed above, Ronnie Dahl (of the YouTubes variety) has used them and stands by them. He's got videos about them.
