I'm not seeing the bars on the sides of the truck icon. Why isn't this functioning?

Never mind... button on the left blinker switch!
That through me the first time too! Could figure out why it had stopped ☹ Back to the owners manual

Mine seems to work "too good", meaning it tried on at least one occasion to make a 90 degree right when the lines next to me moved to accommodate a turn deceleration lane. It only happened once, and when I had one hand loosely gripping the wheel while the other rolled down the back windows.

I've been experiencing the same thing. It only happens sometimes. But always when the white line moves off for a turn lane or something like you said. And all of a sudden the truck wants to follow that line. Slightly worrisome, especially if it were to happen when I'm not completely holding the wheel like it sounds like you were. Just makes me hold the wheel a little better all the time I guess.

Yup, firm grip required... I turned it off. I'll maybe use it on the expressway, but definitely not when towing anything, that maneuver would have killed me if I had the trailer attached.

Yeah, I definitely only have it turned on when on the open road now after a few instances of that. It doesn't make sense to use it for city driving anyways, at least for me.

I'm just waiting for slippery roads to come to see how the system reacts.
Whether or not it adjusting will send me into a slide, or whether it reacting makes me think I am.
Either way, I anticipate a bunch of hmmm...wtf is happening moments.
My guess is that it will behave much like learning how not to "turn into a slide" on ice/snow because the car uses voodoo magic to keep you pointed in the correct direction, and turning into the slide results in violent brakes being applied to the outside wheels followed by an abrupt change in direction.

I drove it through february in Michigan, but we didn't have more than a dusting for me to play in.

I've found that Alert mode can be pretty useful on normal roads since it's just a vibration in the steering wheel. It can't hurt to make sure you're paying attention, although sometimes it can be annoying.

Aid mode can be quite helpful in some scenarios, but also sometimes aggressively scary. I had a scare once when there were obsolete road lines in a construction zone and the truck decided it wanted to follow the old lanes and pulled me across the road. I'll never turn it on again in the city. I do turn it on while driving on the interstate because it does allow me to relax my hands a little bit and it helps with road trip fatigue.

Has anyone had issues where it doesnt show the lines on the display??? I have the alerts on and verify it but sometimes it wont show the lines or do any if the alerts.... is this because of the switch on the wiper switch as someone stated??? Going to try this later but figured I would put it up here for now. Thanks in advance!

Never have had an issue in my Ranger or 2015 Explorer when I had it. You need to be above 40MPH for them to activate too...

I have my system on with Alert+Aid and intensity set to high. However I have never felt the steering wheel vibrate. Is it just really subtle (drowned out by road feedback) or should it be a very noticeable?

For you to test if you feel the need, find an empty open road and let it cross the line to the right or left where you have shoulder or no oncoming traffic and see what it does for you. I've had it assist or if I force it some vibrate when the marker turns RED.

@MT19RANGER thanks for the reply. I have definitely felt the assist correction and have seen the markers turn yellow. Maybe that is the key, I've not seen them turn red before.
