Covercraft, disappointed they didn't cover the tray. Bitched about it and they sent me another one. Exact same thing. So I have a spare if anyone wants to buy it $50

I originally ordered a dashmat and was unhappy with the fit. Auto Anything wanted those ridiculous fees for a return so I complained via a chat session and they gave me full credit. It’s worth a try.

I ended up getting the molded one from CAR ID because AA could not get it for the Ranger. Mine does not have that flap on the front. The description is Coverking® - Molded Carpet Charcoal Custom Dash Cover.

By the way, I have been using Dash Covers for a long time here in Phoenix and they have protected very well. The dash in my 18 year old Mustang is like new.
Same here in Vegas. They save your dashboard.

I ordered a black velour Dash Designs dash cover through my dealer using the remainder of my Ford pass rewards. It matches the ebony interior. The cutouts for the vents, storage tray (there is a well designed flap extending off the cover to fit into the storage tray) and Pre-collision indicator were exactly in the right positions. The overall size was a perfect fit everywhere. The seams were smooth and uniform. I used the velcro fasteners and the cover lies flat with no ripples or humps.

Yes. Much improved over uncovered dash reflections. BUT, it really depends on the type of material and color.

We also have a Dash Designs cover in Black Velour. (also have a DD Black Velour cover in our Santa Fe)

Dealers have sample swatches of each fabric/color. We took them all out and tried each one on our dash to determine which fabric/color reduces reflections best and more important . . . does not make reflections worse.

We chose Black Velour as lighter colors and other materials create more reflections on the windshield.

We also use a sun visor while parked in the sun. This keeps the dash and interior cooler.

I was concerned about this too. The advice I got was that the darker the cover, the less glare. I can't imagine even a light colored dash cover causing any significant glare when using a non-shiny carpet, suede, or velour material. You can see in my photos that the only reflections are on the lower part of the windshield and are produced by the exposed vents and pre-collision indicator panel.

I can see some insignificant micro sparkles when I look directly at my black velour dash cover with the sun shining, but looking out the windshield while driving does not produce any glare at all. My windshield is clear except for a 5" strip of tint at the top of it. I live in a desert climate where the sun can get hot. I left the dash cover exposed to the sun on a hot day last week and the cover was just barely warm to the touch, so that eliminated any concern about it overheating and damaging the dash. Hope this helps.

Another example of a Coverking Custom Molded Dash Cover, in Charcoal, in a '20 Lariat. Sixty-four bucks plus $11 shipping, ordered direct from Coverking. Fits every contour precisely.

Took some pictures. It is a Coverking custom molded dash cover for the Ranger.

I wonder if they have one for the Tremor? I have a switch pod in the middle of the dash instead of the indentation.

Thank-you to the guys on this thread who helped me recently decide on a molded cover-king dash cover for my 19' Ranger. Here's my experience and pics so far with the cover. I was hoping the mat was actually one hard molded piece that went on the dash, but it is a soft cover that comes rolled up. From the pics you can see it does fit pretty well..... and that I customized it a bit to make it mine.

When I got it, I took it to a local Orlando embroidery shop to have the "Sport 4x4" sticker mimicked / embroidered onto my Dash Cover. I asked them to make the shading on the word "Sport" blue to match my truck. (and to match the TDY Vinyl letters I put in the Ranger above the glove box).... Next, I asked them to give me a Blue Ford logo in a color that matched my truck and they obliged on a piece of leather that I sewed into place. (Just as an FYI) I've had embroidery like this done at a hat store called Lids, but wanted a bit more detail this time. Total embroidery cost was about $60 for the custom work.

As far as the cover goes, it fits well but there are a few things that look really cheap about it. First, the trim edging should be smaller and lay flat. I actually used a cool iron to get it to lay down but I feel it's cheaply done.... Next, I see by the pictures that you all posted (and in mine) that there are several places where the cover "humps" up and does not lay flat...(lol sorry, can't think of any other word). (See Pics). I am hoping someone here can tell me if they velcro'd theirs down in those additional places and if it worked. I bought extra velcro but worry about it damaging the dash over time. (Your experience/comments are appreciated).

Jess,
I used the Velcro on mine and got all the humps and wrinkles out of it. One thing that helps is to 1st push the cover down with your finger in various places around the approximate area where you think it would be best to install each Velcro strip. This way you can see when the cover is lying flat and where the best place is to stick the strip on. Dash designs assured me that the Velcro could be removed with a certain solution and that the dash would not be stained or spotted but I haven't tried that yet. Your company might have a video to guide you with this. I followed the one that Dash Designs had on their site and it was excellent.

@Orange...... Thank-You.... I will try the velcro that came with the dash mat. You are 100% right, I need to push it down a bit and wee if it helps. Hoping that the Florida sun doesn't bake the velcro on lol.

You should be OK. I live in a hot dry desert area and we get a lot of heat. The cover will insulate the extreme heat from the dash. I have touched my dash cover several times after the Truck had been sitting in the heat several hours without a sunshade and it was only warm to the touch, not at all hot :)
