I just wanted to report back that the Nexen Tires I tested the Tire Balm on did not brown. So, I definitely believe it was the Continental Tires blooming. The 303 Tire Balm was fine and did NOT cause the issue.
I will be trying Optimum OB2008G Opti-Bond Tire Gel since 303 Tire Balm is...
Gold Eagle has appeared to have Discontinued their Tire Balm product.

I have a had a strange brown blooming on my Hankook tires and I have bees using the 303 Tire Balm regularly.
I really love the regular 303 Aerospace spray and am...
I just wanted to post what not to do on the plastic interior components. I had read that a gentle cleaner like Headlight Lens Cleaner/Polish may work well for scratches, so I tried a little headlight cleaner. However, It was too abrasive and remove the sheen. :crying: Fortunately, it is just a...
So, I checked the defrost duct and it seems solid as a rock but it is about 50 degrees today. Definitely has some reverberation if you tap on it so I see how it could amplify a sound but it doesn’t seem loose.
Here is the video of the rattle.
Well it got above freezing around here. I did remove all the insulation I added under the dash and the rattle has not returned. I attribute that to warmer temperatures.
I have an appointment with the dealer so I hope it gets cold again and I can capture the rattle on video.
I also want to try...
So I got mine to quiet down by putting 1 inchRubber D Weather-stripping under the dash as per the other thread Nasty rattle... but I am still trying to figure out the source of the rattle.
Mine seems to rattle no matter what, Climate Control high Low, Defrost on or Off. I cannot make it stop by...

I get it that Simple...
So if I would know what I know now, I would probably do both, a bed rug and a rubber mat. That way if I hauled stuff I would have some cushion and a non-slip surface.
So I ended up lining the edges of the pickup with Grey Exercise matting made from EVA foam and Dycem Non-slip Cling material on the wheel wells. Turned out pretty good as far as I can tell.
Lots of Colors are available...
Just an update. I decided to keep the Moyishi Cover. The fine leather feel and cross weave is really unique. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01GFNZK4Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_EHHMWVE569WVQWAT58TG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I try not to think about the deformed flanges. I installed without the spacers first because the spacer instructions were in the Ranger addendum, then I added them later. No doubt the deformed rails add character to the truck:) I even coated the clamps and area around with Plasti-Dip to make it...
