It was "out" from factory with factory "off-road" tires('22).

Promptly replaced with KO2's & I've had the white letters "in" ever since. lol

I have Ford Performance Ranger Raptor wheels on order, transferring the current tires onto them so I may have to think about this one. It may be time to refresh the look. lol

I think it depends on the truck and how it is setup. Mine had the letters out with the hankooks on when I bought it new. Replaced with Falken Wildpeaks, no option, no white letters but I think the truck looks better with no letters.

White letters out look good when they're clean, but they don't stay clean for long.

Mine are facing outward from factory but if I had a choice I would not have them showing. I can’t seem to keep them clean and it appears they have a brown tint to them. Not sure why or how but I can’t get it off with soap so who knows. Looked awesome new but really unless your cleaning your tires everyday or only drive on perfect sunny days, I don’t see the appeal.

If you buy white letter tires(many brands have a choice between OWL and BSW), mount them facing out. Severely OCD folks like me look underneath vehicles to see if there is indication of reversed tires, and scoff. Totally cancels out any other appearance or functional mods on the vehicle. If you must put the letter side in, lower the truck 5-6 inches.

If those are Hankooks, they do that. Don't use any kind of whitewall cleaner or tire dressing on them, especially Armor All, and do not scrub! The dressings tend to leach out the tire black (carbon) in the sidewall and stain the white lettering. I actually had some smearing of the white lettering.

I had quite a few miles left on my 'Kooks-5/32 tread depth when I put on Cooper Discoverer AT-3's because of the sick-looking 'Kooks; vanity triumphed. Very happy with the Coopers, they come blackwall.

That's really good to know actually. My truck's dirty 99% of the time anymore with off-road/dirt road driving just about every weekend. Thanks!
